of course! Cai/Fu thought they had won the rally, but a diving save by you and then a few more by you and Lars saved the rally, and then Cai tried to do a trick shot at the net and it got tapped down by Lars. one of the best rally of the whole tourney! :)

    That was awsome!

I've never seen anything like that before. Even a pro volleyball player has to admit: nice dive and great defense!

I totally agree, even when you were on the floor you were alert and ready to return the shuttle. Great commitment to your game and that point. It really does show how much you commit yourselfs to your game. Great play Jonas!:D

    ^^That video..^^

..if kwun still has it somewhere in his storage file space or DVD or CD, and can find it;), he might be able to re-upload it. Or he might upload it to youtube for everyone to see, once he converts it to a youtube acceptable media.
Send a PM request to kwun, JR.

    funnily enough...

....I played a simular shot at the weekend, I will set the scene. (singles match not doubles)
it was a tournament i was playing in, in my quarter final match, it was the third game, and I was 20-21 down, (previous games were 21-17, 23-25) and as soon as I returned serve, (high clear) I was on the defense, after several smashes from my opponent, successfully defended, he must have seen that I was quite far back in my base, and played a disguised drop shot, which took me by suprise, I realized though, I had to get to the shuttle, otherwise I would be knocked out, and literally threw myself at the shuttle, dived for it and just got to the shuttle, before it landed on the ground (it was maybe 20cm from the floor, when I got to it) and I managed to get it over the net, my opponent was suprised, and he never managed to get it back, I went on to win the 3rd game 24-22.
I suppose it is similar, in importance, (except yours JR was a really big tournament final, in comparison to my lousy QF match at a junior event.):p

    Hi Jonas

I actually meant to video that match, but forgot. Just didn't take my bag to the court, and as my phone was in it, I couldn't video the match, I would have really liked to seen the shot again as well.

    Serve!

Hit the side of the shuttle and see which way the shuttle goes. Then experiment and find the right speed to hit the shuttle......Takes a bit of practise, but it can be done.

Remember that serving like this in a normal game is not allowed :)
