badcliq, We cannot changed our players again. We are stucked with the players we buy till Thomas and Uber end.
BCC members, if you buy Hwang Yu Mi as your players, please write complain letter to badminton manager. In Quarterfinal for Uber Cup matches, Korea VS Chinese Taipei (3-05-2006), Korea women doubles Hwang Yu Mi/Han Jung Eun rank 51 win 2 sets (21-14, 21-13)against Cou Chia Chi/Ku Pei Ting rank 30. Please click here: http://tuc.u-netsurf.ne.jp/thomas/en/live/score_final.html#20060503 Both Hwang Yu Mi/ Han Jung Eun should get a total 49 points. 40 for winning the match, extra 3 for playing in 2 sets and extra 6 for defeating a higher ranking pairs. But in the point system, Hwang Yu Mi only get 43 points but her doubles partner in that match get 49 points. Although 6 points is not much but maybe in the end, the ranking will based on a few points difference only.
HORRRAYYYYYYY!! Our club is back in number one again! THis time with 100 point margin with umber 2 club. Can we stay at the top till this event end? Now we had 6 players in Top 20, 4 of them in the top 10 in overall ranking! But we still had semifinal and final to play.
i'm as good as gone...WCH is my captain...damn!!!and eriko lost and japans out what a disaster for me
If WCH injury cause you to lose the game, that's what the insurance industry call lost thru 'acts of god'. You should buy insurance by having 10 different teams like some people. I thought having 2 teams is sufficient enough, until later I realise I was 'under-insured'
Yep. i bought Eriko Hirose in 2 of my teams. Who would had tought she would lose? Btw, we still in numberone for overall subleagu. 3 more days!!! And 7 of our members still in top 20 with 5 of them in top 10. Yes! But its probably changed drastically after tomorrow matches. sigh........
no good at this just lost CTF/LWW left with ZN/XXF/GL - but don't think GL's match will be played at all... good luck everyone else...
tactics can anyone pls enlighten me on how some of you manage to rake up 300+ points in the early stages? which players did you go for? *amazed* i thought i had some good tactics - picking lots of japanese ladies seeing they have a good draw - but plan didn't work when i forgot that there was a 1st round match after the group stages
Our Club still at number one in overall subleague with 130 points matgin with nimber two. 2 more days! Can BCC hold on number one? Meanwhile our members still had 7 members in top 20 and 5 members at Top 10 although the first spot already taken again by Joachim Persson (the Danes player?) with more than 50 points margin. It will be hard to beat and had to depend on men final.
The tactic and strategy in the earlier rounds was pretty simply but ONLY if: 1. one read the rules carefully, 2. know the play format (all ties are played in group play).. 3. know which player(s) will play/will not play *last minute*.. 4. choosing player(s) who are playing in a group with other weaker team(s).. 5. and knowing which team will win it's respective group also helps, as they will not play additional day in the 1st Round. Thus, the top teams probably averaged more than 15-16 players playing..I know one of the early leader had like 24-26 players.. On that note, i think this will be the last time the game will be played, at least for a while. I highly doubt they will have this game featured in any upcoming tournaments soon...unless...
BCC still at number one in overall subleague with almost 200 points margin! YES!! Can we hold on for tomorrow, the last day? I hope so, I am praying hard that BadmintonCentral.com Club will be the winner! And we now only had 6 members in top 20 and 5 in the top 10. Good luck for tomorrow!
Congratulations! Our club, Badminton Central.com Club finished in first place in overall subleague after Thomas and Uber Cup ended. We are at number one with total 1292 points. (203 points more from ranking 2) And from individual ranking, we had 5 members (only 3 actually) in Top 15 , therefore they are entitled for the IBF prizes. Congrats to Daniel, Ketty and John. Thanks you for joining the club and playing along. Hoping IBF will play this games again someday . See Ya!
Hmm..form the winner list, the number one is daniel shirley from Auckland. So this is the real player daniel shirley. Did he real need the ticket VIP? Cause Daniel if you read this, maybe we can do some bartering? Mean while another badminton player, mathias boe in rank 14. Only 3 winner from Asia country. 2 from Indonesia and 1 from Malaysia. YEAH!!! Turn out even in badminton manager, Indonesia and Malaysia fans still competing I thought Daniel also from Indonesia (from the sound of his name) but he listed from LA.
Forgot to add that Danes player Joachim Persson also in the top 15. Where are the asian player? Don't they also participate in this games?
Congratz to all the winners.. i think the players using the "real IBF players' name" are real..as i know some of the IBF players are playing this fantasy game... hmm, i noticed there are 2 Indo people in the top 10, but 1 of them has 3 teams(Johnny Handitio); whilst Daniel Tjahjadi is also Indonesian but he lives in L.A., which is a possibility.. As for the Asian players not listed in any top ranking, i don't think they are too "crazy" about playing this kind of game...
congratulations to the winners! as usual, BC rocks! we end up being the top team with a comfortable margin. we are also the team with the most participants. thanks hcpoirot for organizing this!
Thank you, Kwun. Btw, its a lot of fun and very tired (considering all the compiling data and pick the players) playing Badminton Manager . But I had fun and very happy too cause I am in winning list. (Cough...cough...cough...3 )
hihi....im representative from malaysia hcpoirot (johnny), have they informed (E-mail/ phone call) u anything regarding prizes?
Hi Wei Jin At this time, you probably had received the letter from the sportdreams to write them back with your current address, right?
