This is my 1st time expriencing frame sinking problem.. I’ve used mx80 for quite long time and string it with 26-28lbs but until today..there is no sign that the frame will be sinking..that why i bought js10q and js12f. Mayb only jetspeed got this sinking problem..
I can confirm that the meteors are much stronger and have never had issues. It's definitely just a jetspeed issue (and to some extent Bravesword. BS issues are the aero frame more so than the grommets).
We had a bunch of die hard Victor fans here who jump ship. Me too. AFAIK all Jetspeeds and a bunch of Hypernanos are prone to that. Didn't seen it on Thrusters, but don't come across Thrusters often. The sad part is that you can't narrow it down to any specific model. You can get some and don't have any issue or have bad luck. Edit: The Meteors also had it. Not as heavy and very seldom compared to the current ones, but if you had bad luck, you also experienced sinking. I can say that my Brave Sword 10's never had it. We also need to seperate the usual sinking and weakening of the graphite after a long time with high tension compared to new frames which had it on the second job.
Sounds like poor stringing or misfortune more than bad material tbh. One of my original TK8000 from 2013 is still going strong and only has a bit of sinking after all this while. But it does look like it went through a washing machine. That first batch had such piss poor paint finish..... Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
Stringer is a yonex-stringer and he does all stringing for pros during supersedes in India and like tournaments. Maybe so, I did order a TTY type third cross missing string . String did break in bag overnight when I got it home .
Broken string and that silly string pattern might be why... I'm more surprised it didn't warp tbh heh. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
I've seen it happen to all brands around that tension or higher. If the strings decide to bite despite the break. The uneven stresses will just kill the head. Hell it even happened to me before too years ago when I wasn't pulling such silly numbers hahahaha. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
I want to throw in that the QC and consistency from Victor was never top-notch. This might be the reason why some current and some others sink or not. I often read here that the Brave Swords very fragile and tend to sink. I never experienced that. It's also worth to compare the weight class. 3U vs. 4U. We also had wrong labeling from Victor in the past. heavy 3U, too light 3U, heavy 4U's, 4U's who felt like 5U's...slightly sinking is normal after some time of usage and stops at a point. Some rackets were virgins and get sinking on the first job. It is sad that no brand can make a frame like the ZF. The only frame I never saw any sinking...even past 30 for years on 4U's....
Funny. I've seen ZFs sink. But it did take half a decade for it to get pretty ugly. Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
IMO you can create any racket sinking with aerosonic at the limit of the warranty. I agree for the ZFII. I have seen sinking on them as well. The ZF1's I strung I had never seen, but they went all in clashs after 2-3 years by the owners.
True true. But most of the guys I know running ZFs are on 66UM or BG80. Took about 3 years of 30lbs to sink them minor though. P.S. They run 4Us... Sent from my LG-H930 using Tapatalk
I am very unhappy reading reports of sinking grommets on some Victor rackets. In my opinion, this should have been resolved early and not left to chance. I questioned whether JS11 was introduced as a direct replacement for JS10 but has a stronger frame. Paul www.badminton-coach.co.uk
hello, im just curious, im interested in the js10q, i currently use a nanoray 800 and i was wondering if its any similar??, and if their are differences, what are they ?
