All the seeded players go through except for Dicky Palyama and Shoji Sato. Dicky Palyama lost to Agus Hariyanto (Hkg), a former Indonesian player. Lee TS triumphed over Shoji Sato after a 108 minutes battle, such a gruelling match. All the Malaysian players went through the first round. Chen Jin lost to Ponsana by a whisker in the first round, it's 13-15 in the rubber set.

Clear your cache (Tools->Internet Options->Delete Files) and try again.

Lee TS beating Sato, although not surprising, is quite significant from the Japanese point of view. The only surprising result for me is Agus beating Dicky.

    http://www.u-netsurf.ne.jp/nichiba/2005/yoj/ewd.htm

    6th seed Chin/Wong lost to Ogura/Shiota tamely.
8th seed Tripp/Wright retired against Louisa Koon/Li Wing Mui.
Hwang Yu Mi/Jun Woul Sik defeated Jiang Yanmei/Li Yujia.
Other than that, nothing out of ordinary.

    9-15 15-10 17-16 !!!
Considering Shoji Sato's recent results and him playing on his home ground, this is a very good win for Lee Tsuen Seng!

Black day it is....Malaysian MD just not good enough. We need quality, not quantity.

However, it is refreshing to see the youngsters put up some fight.
