Hmm...without even realising it (since I was away on business trip), it's already semi-finals day. With the time-difference between Tokyo and Salt Lake City, I don't think I can even watch the semi-finals since I am supposed to sleep at those hours!!

    MEN'S SINGLES
Lin Dan vs Peter Gade -- yet another meeting between the two players...the WC gold-medallist to win!

Taufik Hidayat vs Lee Chong Wei (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- Taufik is very fired up at the moment and with his form, I think he can beat LCW..probably in 3 sets.

    MEN'S DOUBLES
Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun vs Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- as I mentioned, it's gonna be hard for Tony/Candra to beat Fu/Cai. They need to play smartly

Shuichi Sakamoto/Shintaro Ikeda vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong -- the only local presence in the SF tomorrow...but...the Malaysian pair is way too strong for them!

    WOMEN'S SINGLES
Zhang Ning vs Zhu Lin -- the senior Chinese player to win.

Wang Chen vs Xie Xingfang (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- yawn...no contest!

WOMEN'S DOUBLES (yet again, belong to the Chinese, so, no comment)
Gao Ling/Huang Sui vs Du Jing/Yu Yang

Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen vs Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen

    MIXED DOUBLES
    Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir
vs Xie Zhongbo/Zhang Yawen (MATCH OF THE ROUND) -- Nova/Butet face their 2nd Chinese hurdle and their nemesis! If they can win this one, they should be crowned champions again! It's a pity both pairs failed to shine at the recent WC....

Sudket Prapakamol/Saralee Thoungthongkam vs Flandy Limpele/Vita Marissa -- Flandy/Vita have surprised us so far and it will be unbelievable if they can go all the way to the Final! The Thai pair has an edge.

lol, I'm kinda anti-Lin Dan too, not sure why is it, but I love Taufik too!! typical bad boy~
Besides, I'm really anti with LD's winning posture, the one he uses to pull his shirt over his face and sweep the floor, yelling, fists up, then comes the military salute, bows in all directions and whatever

hey come on be realistic, you think he gets into the final that easily??? theres nothing wrong with celebrating with all his actions.
then what about soccer?? those plyers also do all kind of stunts after scoring..
i wonder if you really just keep quiet when you win...

how do you know if his arrogant? do you know him well? are you friends with him?
then how do you explain taufik walking away at 4-1 against lin dan? is taufik being arrogant as well? i dont think so.

no. if you dont know the players well enough, dont judge books by its cover.

this will be tough! my heart goes to LD but i see PG to the final. LCW (my new idol!!) - don't think he will have enough on a resurgent TH

    MEN'S DOUBLES
this is another hard pick. both had a pretty comfortable road to the semis. the way FHF/CY are playing.......
(don't flame me ok :D ) i would like to see the Japanese 'couple' in their own finals. they played well against the english pair and should be able to do another upset.

    WOMEN'S SINGLES
    the chinese should win

    WOMEN'S DOUBLES
    see above (WS)

    MIXED DOUBLES
it will be an Indonesian and Thai final.

Now that,Eriksen and lundgaard has been accounted for,it's time to overcome the Japanese pair of Shintaro Ikeda and Shuichi Sakamoto.Rexy's pair of KKK/TBH has performed well and I bet they have the pedigree to go all the way to capture the Japan Open 2006.
