Just got a new racket from ebay. Wondering if its real. It came from someone legit as recommended in one of my earlier threads.

I tried to take the best pictures that I could. I know the bottom of the racket looks real cuz it looks the same as my mp44's bottom.

Another question, why does the serial on the TH racket look different from the US one that I have? Or is mine just faded out a bit?

More than one opinon would be nice. Thanks for the help!

the mp99 looks real. the part that made me think this way was the grip wrap. this one is nicely sealed and the original grip looks legit. the racquet seems a bit too yellow but that might just be the camera. however, on this picture, the gourmets look really weird http://img107.imageshack.us/img107/3797/32rr.jpg

MMMMmmm......the serial number seems ok but it does not look laser etched:confused: but everything else looks ok.

Maybe the photo but the writting on the cone looks white? like it is sort of printed.

looks just like mine....the muscle power 99 part on the near the bottom of shaft not yet to cone looks good...in a fake the yellow dots on the pink/red fade would be aligned and this is detailed, and distorted kind of not alligned so it looks good....+ is there a pbsi imprint on the cone? or mayb that is just a thing with my region....looks too good too be fake...

-Nope I don't go to indy.

-Colorwise, I will be able to check with my friend's mp99 in a day or so. He has a US version one, so ill just compare colors with him. My camera sucks a bit, I had the settings on auto contrast or w/e and it sorta made the whole picture yellowish. My table is a much lighter brown than the one in the photos. I have NO idea about the gourments tho, ill have to check out my friends racket and see.

-It sorta does look printed when I look at it. However, when I rub my thumb over it, it feels etched in like my mp44. I was just thinking my mp44's color on the serial faded out a bit.

-Nope, there isn't a pbsi imprint on the cone. I think it might just be on SP and TW rackets. Not sure tho.

Thanks for all the comments you guys!

I dont think it is real when i see the serial number. It should be made on 1/8/05 and its impossible to not have lasered serial number. If anything that is made in other than the US should have TH marked after the name.

if the grommets/eyelets are like these then this is the original TH (Thailand) distributed. this is a bit cheaper than Japan (JP)/ US distributed. i've got one bought in Malaysia.
