Is BAM going in the right direction?

even sepak takraw which invented from Malaysia (during Malacca Sultanate era), always lose to Thailand for almost half century...
Yeah, always a second fodder in takraw, which is unbelievable!
Something is wrong with the management, somewhere, or just our mentality.

or maybe the Thais got extra training in order to play that sports in superb way, like they learned the Muay Thai...

Our athletes are spoilt..look at podium program athletes...chan peng soon...goh liu ying...just not good enough. same with the archery team..also in podium program...maybe podium program is a waste of money

Either mentality or they're just too pampered once winning a big title. We have a world class facities, world class trainers but we can't achieve the results. Look at some of our ex coaches who excel elsewhere, heck PJB manage to bring Japan to greatness but we didn't get much when he was coaching Malaysia.

That's because BAM didn't give him enough time and flexibility

only LCW managed to be world class player, the others like truly 'jaguh kampung', which is totally humiliate the Malaysia sports culture...

new young MAS pair (Chen Tang Jie/Man Wei Chong) coming up, currently playing Spain Open this week, and if they are able to perform well, they most likely going to meet the KOR independent pair Lee Yong Dae/Kim Gi Jung in SF match...

I don't think they are any match to Lee/Kim. The whole match performance level of Chen/Man was awful I give it a C- performance.
Too much easy mistakes and so on.

More problems.

“I’ve been helping out as a sparring partner in the national team. What I’m disappointed is the quality of the coaching. One of the coaches does not give 100% focus in training. Sometimes, you find him just sitting there.”

Boon Heong believes there is jealousy and a lack of cooperation among coaches, which needs to be addressed.

“I believe that players’ partnerships are split up if they are not in the good books of the coach. Sometimes, selection is not done on merit,” he said.
