Let me be the first to welcome you back into the BF/BC fold. Read your old posts and really enjoyed them.
Turning off the post count is kind of useless, really who actually post for post counts -.-, if you do that then you need a life really, its not the # of post that matter, its the quality of the posts, and by that i don't mean length, i mean ideas and examples inside your writing.
Getting Pwned on BF so recently and lately I been witnessing a lot of people getting pwned on bf for posting inappropiate questions or for something else..any thoughts on it?
well of course some people might get angry and start talking **** since the person might be going off topic or never reads the sticky. On the reply thread, there are rules about being civil, repeated questions, off topic, and advertising. however, there are always a**ho*es out there.
It's a vicious cycle. You cannot have a perfect forum because there are constantly new ones coming to BC (a good thing!) and they will not know the guidelines, whether inadvertently or advertently. Instead of the BC Members complaining/posting publicly, I think two things can be done: 1) Do not reply to their posts and let the Mods take care of it And/or 2) Report them to the Moderators and have the Mods send them an e-mail explaining their post. The Mods can have a form e-mail so they can just cut and paste the appropriate mail. I know many other Forums generate an automatic e-mail if the post is Off-Topic, inappropriate or they pose a question that's covered in the sticky. This helps minimize the noise. The Mods are here for a reason, let them do their jobs. The Mods, though Badminton Gods , cannot see every discrepancy, all the time. We can help them along if we see something not quite right. Amen!
i have noticed that the quality of posts in the forums has deteriorated lately. while there are still the good quality postings that BC is known for, i am seeing a higher percentage of plainly off-topic and chit-chat/joking around posts that adds noise to the otherwise high-quality discussions. if i were a reader of the forum, i wouldn't want to weed through these insensible postings in order to get to the good discussions. i hope members be aware of that in the future.
i agree, it make future searches much much less hassle. we all dont like to ream through pages and pages of each thread just to find a couple of post about the topic you are searching for.
Sorry... I'm probably one of the people responsible for a bunch of the non-relevent comment posts. It was meant more as an attempt to get friendly with established board members, but I can see how it can be a pain to sort through. So I apologize. I'll try to tone things down.
Simple, don't talk outta your @ss (Not saying you, whoever is the culprit). If a person makes a statement or forms an opinion, that person needs to back it up. For instance, you can't say something "sucks" and just log-off. Back-up why you think it sucks, etc... I hope that makes sense.
fs hs: me too, poor English but I think the kind baddies here are enthusiastic enough to live with our improper English in the name of BADMINTON !! Imagine when there is a World Cup Badminton as huge as Football one day.........
I don't know why you deleted my message. I am from China and I am a oversea student. I just want to find some friends to pay badmintons. so , i posted a message about looking for friends playing badminton. is it insensible and juvenile in your eyes? In my hometown , we alwyas made some stranger friends to play badminton so as to communicate our skill together and that is also a good mothed to make some friends. i really disappointed to you .
