    Should be a good one

Malaysia for sure will send the full team to support this event since it's going to be in Johore. I think China, Korea and Denmark will do the same as this is the last tournament to collect points for World Championship, I think.
Asian Badminton Championship hasn't been able to attract top guns from the past few years and lets hope 2006 can turn the tide.

Not really, the Asian countries are going to send their players as final preparation for the Thomas and Uber cups. This will be a good tournament to measure where you stand in the crowd.

I think China does not want to expose their full strength before the tournament. That way other countries will keep guessing. Furthermore, a lot of Chinese players are participating in the China Master 2006. So, there is no need for the senior players to go to another tournament.

Don't know, it's too close to the Commonwealth Games. Maybe the MAS TC squad will not be there.

Denmark is not going to be there, and if China is also not going out in full force and Malaysia will be resting after Commonwealth Games, then Indonesia has a chance to go out there and do well! Go Indonesia! After the TC qualifiers defeat to Malaysia, I should think they could do well with some morale boost...

This will be a good opportunity for Indonesian players to practice the 21 points score. I think instead of morale boost, they need a practice with the new scoring system more. I don't think they will be satisfied to win with Malaysia and China not in a full force there.

I really hope this Asian Championship will prepare them well for the Thomas Cup. It is about time Indonesia wakes up and bring the cup back.
