Oh, sorry... regarding the notable China-beaters, I forgot about Pi Hongyan, Xu Huawen, Yao Jie, and Wang Chen... er... because they were all from China themselves... :p I was focusing on the WS who were really not from the mainland...

As for Yippie... she... seem to have lost a lot of weight. No power left in her game now... :p I would advise her to bulk up again... :)

What a shocking results for the semis.
When many predicted only INA XD will survived ( excluding simon, of course), the results went the other way around.
Congrats to INA to make up their losses in both TC.UC semi final last month

    Totally a SUPER upset night....

    Maria won over Zhang Ning
Vita/Natsir over Wei/Yawen the top seed
    Sony over Bao
and another Upset that i hate.... :) when Vita/Nova lost....

but the biggest upset for me was the Russian victory over super powerful Oranjes in Euro
    Just loved it !!

Hehehe, yes, based on badmania's prediction, only Simon's, Candra//Tony's and Zheng/Gao's wins fulfilled his predictions, the rest 5 were totally unexpected results!

No offense, badmania. But I did too haev a similar prediction as yours and was totally shocked (in a positive way) to see the outcomes!

Maria is ranked #25-30, while Yao Jie is most often ranked between #5-15, that is an upset!!! ;) :D

I am not ranked, but if I can beat the unseeded Yao Jie, then I also scored an upset. :p Because Yao Jie is an established player, I am not.

Yes, yes, I understand-lah. Our young Limsy did another list with lower ranked beating higher ranked but noone enterntained him when he asked "can count or not, ranking very close.":D:D

So, this IO, I only count unseeded/lower seed beat seeded player/pair. You're most welcome to do up another list with lower ranked beating higher ranked from Round 1 onwards, he he. Me not so free to keep looking up BWF website to see who's higher ranked, who's lower rank.:p:p

Too bad Maria could not pull out one more upset against the defending World Champ. Now that could have been an undisputed upset... :p

Of course I knew your predictions and it came true, but you know what I meant, hehe....

Though your prediction is not fullfiled, Maria actually played very well. Congrats.
