[1] vs Chen Yuekun [16] - a tricky match for Simon, but, as the top-seed he's expected to win the title here.

Alamsyah Yunus [8] vs Zulfadli Zulkiffli [11] - Alam to fulfill his seeding.

Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka [3] vs Iskandar Zulkarnain Zainuddin [14] - Hayom to take this one.

Goh Soon Huat [13] vs Tommy Sugiarto [3] - ditto for Tommy.

Andrew Smith [15] vs Sony Dwi Kuncoro [5] - ditto for Sony.

    WS R16
INA is guaranteed only one QF spot, which is between Renna Suwarno and Tieke Arieda Ningrum who could create another upset. For the other matches, I hope Aprilia Yuswandari [6], Adrianti Firdasari [7], and Hera Desi [8] could progress. All three will be facing Japanese opponents.

    MD
INA is guaranteed one SF spot, which is likely to be Angga Pratama/Rian Agung Saputro [3].2 additional spots are also guaranteed in QF, possibly taken by Hendra A. Gunawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki and Mohd Ulinnuha/Ricky Karanda Suwardi [7].

    Other interesting matches in R16:
Terry Yeo Zhao Jiang/Liu Yi vs Andrei Adistia/Christopher Rusdianto - Andrei/Christopher should take advantage of the absence of the top-seed to advance to the QF.

    Kim Ki Jung/Kim Sa Rang
[3] vs Ronald Alexander/Selvanus Geh - the newly crowned Japan SS champion to progress.

Markus Fernaldi Gideon/Agripinna Prima Rahmanto Putra
[8] vs Ronel Estanislao/Paul Jefferson Vivas - a tricky tie against the PHI pair, who's trained under Rexy. Nevertheless, Markus/Agri should fulfill their seeding.Hafiz Faisal/Putra Eka Rhoma vs Mohd Lutfi Zaim Abdul Khalid/Teo Kok Siang - it will be an upset if the Jaya Raya U19 pair can upset the more experienced MAS pair.

    WD
INA is guaranteed one SF spot which will likely be between Nitya Krishinda Maheswari/Anneke Feinya Agustine [3] and Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth/Rizki Amelia Pradipta [6] who will square off in the QF on Friday. Suci Rizki Andini/Della Destiara Haris should also fulfill their seeding and fight for a QF spot against the top-seed from Japan.

    Other interesting matches in R16:
Yuki Fukushima/Yui Miyauchi vs Shella Devi Aulia/Anggia Shitta Awanda - the Japanese pair to progress.

Yu Xiaohan/Huang Yaqiong vs Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati [5] - although the CHN pair is a junior pair, they might beat the INA pair.

    XD
2 INA reps guaranteed in the SF, most likely Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir [1] and Mohd Rijal/Debby Susanto [2] in the top and bottom quarter respectively. The only quarter with possibly non-INA rep is the one with Kim Sa Rang/Eom Hye Won [6] and Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/Vanessa Neo Yu Yan [3]. They will be fighting for a SF spot. The second quarter is likely to be a fight between Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth and Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati.

    Other Interesting matches in R16:
Rendra Wijaya/Devi Tika Permatasari vs Edi Subaktiar/Melati Daeva Oktaviani - it will be a small upset if the Djarum junior pair could clinch victory tomorrow.

Markis Kido/Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth vs Fran Kurniawan/Shendy Puspa Irawati - former partners squaring off against each other. Kido/Pia have a slight edge.

Riky Widianto/Richi Dili Puspita [7] vs Terry Yeo Zhao Jiang/Delis Yuliana - Riky/Richi are promoted to the first-team wef Denmark SSP. Good for them and time for them to show they can rise to the top 10!

Hafiz Faisal/Dian Fitriani vs Danny Bawa Chrisnanta/Vanessa Neo Yu Yan [3] - the seeded SIN pair to advance over the Jaya Raya pair.

Alfian Eko Prasetya/Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja vs Irfan Fadhilah/Weni Anggraini [5] - Irfan/Weni to advance but it will be a good result for Alfian/Gloria to steal one set.

Anyone knows what Rexy's role in PHI team is? Does he act as chief coach for MD (like Tan Kim Her), or as overall, head coach (like LYB or Koh Chris Hadinata)?
