ok, MD is coming up next....the ex greats vs. the fresh faced juniors..if Tony/Candra play smart and efficient, it should be over in 2 sets...too much experience and skill..

Tony is the master of net control. The senior pair wins the first set 21-17. The young pairs need to step up their attack...but with Tony patroling the net, its going to be difficult for them to win.

Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya won in 2 quick sets 21-17, 21-16.
The youngsters do not have any clues against the quick-witted Tony Gunawan in front of the net.

Seems to me they are inferior to Tony/Candra in techniques too.

Markis/Hendra still have problems playing against senior pairs like Tony/Candra, Eriksen/Hansen, Chong/Lee as I have mentioned earlier. When attacks failed as we have seen today, they don't have any other weapons to get pts. Playing against Tony patroling the net is another big problem.

However, they are very very young at 22 years old only. Time will mould them into a pair that could be as good as Tony/Candra.
