BSP needs to cover 29 points to beat Mark. If BSP wins by 21-13, 21-13 then BSP can advance I guess.

If I look back, CS SS should have won 2nd game against Taipei if they werent lethargic, it was much easier than taking a game from minions.

Everything is so easy for Chen Yufei and Tai Tzu Ying because of their seeding.
They only have to win 2 matches to medal.

Sindhu has to win at least 3 matches to win a medal.

She will face Mia Blichfeldt and then most likely home favourite Akane, and then very likely either TTY or Ratchanok.

    This all looks so scary.

They already had the potential to medal this time, but they took it too easy.

I wish point difference had a higher priority than game difference, then Sai Praneeth still had a chance.

RI is certainly capable of beating TTY, although TTY will be the favourites.

They should have given their best against The INA pair.

And if they did, they were certainly capable of taking a game against minions.

Yeah but BAI didn't know neither did we, that Sai would lose to Misha and there'll be no MS player for knockouts. Sai earned the right to represent India and deservedly so went to OG. Whatever he does in OG is up to him, I personally didn't expect anything from him but then again , it's the performance in that day. Some days you win a bronze in WC and some days you lose to a player who plays in t3 events.

Well they earned it, nothing is easy. Sindhu could have done it too if she had a better World Ranking that means better performances in World Tour. She didn't and now she has to win an extra match. It's always the rules, athletes know it so they should play seriously on the tour too :p

SatwikChirag were better as a pair in 2019. Less number of mistakes.

This year, more number of mistakes (number that one can't make in this level). Chirag is better as a player than he was in 2019. Satwik has degraded. But I have hopes on them and I hope they'll not disappoint me like our shooters (who are the best in WC and puke real bad at OG) lol .

    One a side note -
Achanta Sharath Kamal took a game from Rio gold medalist Ma Long in ping pong.
Ma long said that him losing even a single game against a foreign player is letting China down.

It seems this time in most events we are going out gloriously, rather than winning.

I told this to my friend Sumanth in wp. You see saying that type of thing shows confidence of the GOAT. He said that , it was a big big thing and he is very much capable enough. The GOAT for a reason. 39 yr old Sharath showed that anything is possible. Winning was 99 percent impossible for Sharath but winning a game was also far fetched. Commentator himself was surprised so was Ma Long so were us.

So far yes. Now only one event left 25m standard women. Manu and Rahi Sarnobat. Who knows Rahi can do an Asiad 2018 where she won a gold. She could be 2012 OG Vijay for us who won silver out of nowhere. Btw she is the only player who won WC in Croatia which happened 15 days before OG. Let's see.

If you want to see medals, wait for Vinesh, Bajrang, Amit Panghal, Sindhu (let's see)

If you want to enjoy the show, wait for Neeraj, Mary Kom and those players who will give their best.

If you want to be disappointed watch shooters, archers, hockey players (don't go on their winning scorelines, they are showing the type of game far enough to be able to win a medal).

disagree. you have to earn it. they did not.

Wonder how the slow shuttles will affect Sindhu’s game.

Very badly. Her legs would go wobbly come third game. She thrives in crash, bang, boom conditions.
