For me, beating China in Badminton is like beating Pakistan in cricket, hockey haha.

Haha, in football, Vietnam often to beat China.

It's a pity that Vietnam is a poor country and doesn't invest much money in sports, if Vietnam has a system like Japan, you can see Vietnam beat China in many sports

Vietnam football team is a really impressive team. Their age group and senior team is doing very well. Much respect.

India Uber Team plays to expectations and meets QF target. It will take time to build a stronger team for SF and Final in Uber. PV Sindhu plays below par and has a disappointing campaign. Used to Sindhu rising to the occasion in team matches. She has the skills just needs to stick to her gameplay and strengths, has started losing focus at crucial moments. Was up 13-8 against An Se Yong and Ratchonak just couldn't keep her composure. She needs a new coach to help get her confidence back.

The minimum target for the India Thomas team was semifinal and they achieved it! While they have the potential to win the Thomas cup. India has under achieved on several occasions. It's tough being an Indian supporter, special days don't come often but when they do its pure delight! :)

Ohh yess you're right. He has spectacles. But I commented for his serious expressions and his holding hands of other players. Haha.

What a great effort from team India to make it to the Thomas Cup finals. Hope they bring their A game to the finals and give us an enthralling badminton experience. Congratulations to the boys!

    Was it televised in India?

    what’s the reaction there?

I was watching history being made - I would like to see history being made again.

It's on TV via Voot and the same channel streams it on the internet. A lot of people are excited and hoping for Gold. People who don't normally watch badminton (cricket fans) are watching them. I am so happy and hope for a fairytale ending!

This performance is a great boost for badminton at the grassroots level. We can expect a lot more kids joining academies and dreaming to become the next big badminton star. Government funding will continue for badminton. :)

“I wasn’t able to lunge. There were a lot of things going on in my head. After the slip it was hurting a bit more than usual and I was wondering what to do, I thought I’d try to manage. I wasn’t sure of what movement I could do and what I couldn’t do. It felt like it was all going downhill, but I thought I shouldn’t give up, let me just see how it goes. I was hoping it wouldn’t get aggravated. The pain started reducing towards the end of the second game, and in the third game I was feeling much better.”

“More than physical, it was a mental game. I just couldn’t afford to lose the focus. I was thinking a lot on court, but I have done a lot of mental training over the last six months, and all of that worked today. I was extremely focussed, and this is what I’ve been working for, to be in the zone.”

Vimal Kumar has said India Vs Indonesia chances are 50:50.

Which basically means the team which is mentally stronger on the day will win.

I'm really happy. This is how a responsible private entity should function. In the long term, people will watch voot more. Star was purely elitist mindset company. I'm happy that now more people will be able to access the tie.

    I concur. I think

MS1: Lakshya needs to win against Ginting. I'll give lakshya 60-40 as Ginting is not the Ginting we know from 2018-19. Lakshya even though not experienced enough against top 10 players, I think he can win

MD1: SatChi vs Kevin Ahsan is 50-50 or shall I say 55-45 in favour of Kevin Ahsan. The reason I say it is coz SatChi is not the same anymore. Though they have beaten KevAhs in BATC some years ago, I think it'll be close. KevAhs is a scratch pairing, but they can be lethal.

    Till now 1-1

MS2: Kidambi has a good chance to win against JoJo. Both the players are not the same like before. 50-50. But Kidambi can get a point here.

    1-2

MD2: Surely Fajri if they are up against Krishna and Panjala. I think Dhruv and Arjun will play. If Dhruv plays then I think there'll be a fight. 65-35 in favour of FajRi.

    2-2 till now.

MS3: Prannoy vs Shesar. Prannoy was in pain after the match last night. It'll be critical. Can't predict in this.

So if India has to win. They really need to win MS1. MD1 dicey. MS2 is winnable and then hope for Prannoy to seal it. If Prannoy is not in the condition, we have to pray we beat them 3-0 then. It's either 3-0 or 3-2 if we are to win , I'm predicting.

Fingers crossed and All the best to players and to my fellow supporters
