Sikki Reddy has an abdominal muscle tear and is out of the Uber Cup. Will BAI name a replacement or keep the same team? Treesa / Gayatri will now be WD1.

Dhruv Arjun massive chokestars. Threw up 7-2 and 18-13 lead in second game against FajRi and lost the match. I'm glad, I didn't watch the match.

At least Treesha and Tanisha are there. Both of them will make a very good pair. I wanna see Unnati hooda playing American team.

Good match played by Chaliha, though I expected that she'd be more dominant as WS3.

WS1, WD2, WS3 these three look decent. Can they reach far?

    4-1 Against Canada.
Aakarshi was the weaker player and was able to tactically outwit her opponent. She did well to win in 3 games. Ashmita took time to settle down, game 1 was nerves. Ashmita fought back well when she found her rhythm. Initially I was worried they would fail at the group stage. But at least they will make the quarters. This year I don't expect them to cross that hurdle. Stronger Indian teams have lost at the QF stage. Unless they beat Korea they don't stand a chance of a medal.

India Thomas and Uber teams qualify for QF. While India's Thomas cup team is expected to at least make the semis it's an uphill battle for the Uber team. WD2 and WS2 are weak. While we can't change WD2, I'd like to see Unnati Hooda in place of Aakarshi Kashyap. Will they let Unnati play against Korea?

Korea give India Uber team a reality check. Ashmita Chaliha was the stand out performer and gave a good account of herself as she went down fighting. She lacks tournament practice and can only get better with lots of exposure. We have to wait and watch the improvement in the next year for the other WS and WD players. Can they score a point in QF?

If you said this thing about Ashmita in 2018, that would be true. Sorry bro, Ashmita has played a lot of tournaments (bar the covid period), but even in tournaments she played after 2018 India IC, she was very much inconsistent. If she is a late bloomer, all fine. But the potential she had, she hasn't done justice to it yet

But Unnati Hooda's ranking is very low , she could be second player if any other player is there to play third singles. But I wish to see her play 3rd singles in the quarterfinals against Thailand, otherwise what is the use of bringing her to Thailand ?. Just for sightseeing?

I meant dropping Aakarshi so Ashmita becomes WS2 and Unnati WS3. Against Korea she would have had a chance to play. Even if Unnati is selected against Thailand she may not play as matches normally finish in top 3 or 4. This team is not strong to take it to WS3.

A virtual hug and cheer to the fellow Indian fans.
Beating a team at its national sport is a considerable thing. For me personally beating Mas is like beating Pak in cricket or more.
