    Atanu can do it!
    He was bloody impressive!
So far only ku bon chan has impressed me that much.
If Atanu can get past the south koreans, gold is sure!

Jitu's loss is a big disappointment.
I was expecting at least 2 medals in shooting.
Now it feels like we will be lucky to get 1.

    Impressed by Bombayla Devi's performance.
    Hope Deepika can progress too.

From what I hear, the draw for Bopanna-Sania is easy.
May be they can get a medal.

He needed 64 in 7. 36 in 4 and 19 in 2. Had a disastrous final series. Lost it on shot 59. He will be back.

His series total of 88 was his worst this quad. Pity it happened at the stage which seemed built for him to conquer.

I have been quietly watching the events. India needs to work on mental toughness. That seems to be the difference between winning and losing.

    Deepika Kumari wins a thriller!

Badminton action finally starts! Hoping for the best.:)
    Medal hope Saina Nehwal.

PV Sindhu has an easy match! :)

Saina Nehwal Wins! Gets a good workout in opening match.
Crowd pressure was a factor in her unforced errors. She took sometime to settle her nerves.
    :)

They did not show that on TV, did they?
    Any way to watch it?
21-17 21-17 sounds like a hard fought match.

As for PVS, Michelle Li will be a big test. Let's hope she crosses that hurdle and gains confidence.

On the other hand, disappointed with our female archers. Their opponents were strong, but definitely beatable.
Deepika did not show the form she was in yesterday.

Now our sole hope in archery rests on Atanu Das.
    He was very impressive.
I am hoping he can get a medal, preferably gold.

Almost all of the top singles players have withdrawn from XD event.
The only notable exception is - Nadal/Muguruza.
Rohan/Saina should get a silver(or at least a bronze) if they play to their potential.

There is nothing like potential in XD event esp. Besides rohan's 'potential' is quite below many other male players.
Its only how u get along with ur partner that very day, Konta/Watson stunned LeTina enroute their historic Wimbledon championship victory! Just watch any of Watson's match to analyze her 'potential' :p

Anyways I agree Sania/Rohan have a chance but I warn don't expect much, the same goes for Atanu Dad.

OK, replace 'potential' with 'with a little bit of luck'.;)

We certainly need that 'little bit of luck thing' (if that exists, I don't believe 'course)
Jitu's disastrous last moment, abhinav's strategy to put pressure by shooting first on the S-off, Sonia Chanu's wrong selection of weights to lift, Shiv Thapa's and SN's draw, Heena's confidence level, Sania's partner, and Indian Hockey team's numerous penalty corners in the last minute everything would've just perfect with that litlle swig of Felix Felicis (fortune bringing potion). I wish we had Saverus Snape or Slughorn for our OG team :D
Just hope we are "lucky" enough to get at least one gold

why was saina wearing li ning instead of yonex. .change in sponsors?
but as far as I remember she was playing with a yonex racket. .and her movement towards the front court looked a little sluggish to me and that tape on her leg. .I hope all is well.
