Any of you guys heard of him? He's a promising 20 year old Indonesian singles player and I haven't seen anything short of brilliance from him yet. Highlights of his career include him taking out WZM, Darren Liew, Simon Santoso and Lee Hyun-Il

    and he's only 20!

Srikanth Kidambi is in the list also. He beat Srikanth in Taipe GPG last July. He is also the hero of Team Indonesia at SEA Games badminton gold (Men's Team) winning over Thailand in Final.

At the deciding match of Semifinal, he won againts Mohammad Arif of Malaysia, after down 14 -20, saving 6 match point and finally close the match 22 -20. Great match!

He is going to play in Vietnam open in like 3 weeks and later play in Japan SS starting from Q-rounds.

He was reserve player for INA in Thomas cup last year but he only sat on the bench. If INA had sacked Rumbaka vs MAS and used Simon Santoso to play CWF and then Ihsan for 3rd singles they could have reached the Thomas Cup final.

I'm seeing Ihsan style more like LCW. Quite fast. He just reached Japan SSP 2015 QF from Qualification by edging out Marc Zwiebler and Hu Yun! Out of 4 INA MS Junior, I feel Ihsan is more reliable and have stability. He was rarely lose too easy as well. Mentally strongest out of 4 INA young MS.

Agreed. His defense in the SEA Games final which i saw him play really reminded me of LCW in his early days

He's doing great on the Thai GPG. I think LHI is a tough opponent as he have a lot of experience.
Congrats for being the runner-up, Ihsan!

“I’m really excited to meet Lin Dan. It is a rare opportunity to be able to fight such a great player like Lin. I’d also like to test myself, see how far can I go against him,” world number 41 Ihsan told badmintonindonesia.org on Tuesday.

The young gun said that Lin Dan and Indonesian Olympian Taufik Hidayat were among his role models in the sport.

“Lin has great smashes and strokes. Other than that, he’s very patient, too,” added Ihsan.
