    Is the JS12F just a repainted JS12?

Bingo. Only difference is that it has G6 grip.

It's a little more flexible, so it doesn't look like a direct clone.

It's exactly the same difference as the BS12 and BS12L. Same ****, smaller handle, cherry picked.

    BraveSword LHI?
That has a stiffer and slightly head heavier frame than the 11 but it's based on it

The mental image of that is going to stick with me for some time! :p

I was told the R stands for Remaster. Not sure how reliable that is.

I also enquired about it from a number of Asian suppliers, apparently the spec is the same as the original. Just a different colour scheme. You can actually buy it now but it is not officially released yet - apparently due for release in the autumn.

Apparently it'll come with 76 stringing pattern instead of the original 72

Ah - indeed. Just clocked that on the picture.
But if memory serves, the 11 was the tall whippy one. Still pass:p.

the RRI if the BS11R doesn't match the RRI of the old one as it's now at 8/7 and was at 3 before :

You're looking at the old Taiwan version which was a very flexible version. The later version that most BS11 users are familiar with is 4/5 stiffness whereas the old TW version I believe was 2/5 stiffness.
