    ASY has never beaten HBJ.

When they met in 2019, HBJ won decisively in straight sets.

And 2021 HBJ is in a lot better shape than she used to be...

LOL yeah. KamSon failed in 2016. EndoWata failed twice in 2018/2019. HokiKoba succeeded in 2021.

KV is not smashing at all. He is letting his opponent to attack and make mistakes.

Never said she's invincible. Nobody is. But she definitely has cemented her position as one of the contenders and will make it difficult for others.

minions lost on the 1st round in the last WC. Any pair can beat minions in WC, they always found a way to lose before SF in the big event
I hope they'll make it through at least till SF this time & earn themselves any color of WC medals.

But I think they're progressing well since after the olympic, especially in Bali tourneys.
They managed to find a way playing in a slow hall, and don't get frustrated easily.
but credit to koba/hoki, the better pair on court today

I reckon its difficult to beat LeeWang and HokiKoba in the same tournament. Had the draw been switched, i d think its different story but well everyone deserves success at their time.

and also its like that.. the draw in WC, so whatever. What happens will happens. As long as Minions has done their best, i'm glad.

It’s a shame we won’t see Sindhu against an se young at WC next week unless they both make the finals. But Sindhu should do a bit better at the tour level for her caliber. She just sleeps through the year except for one or two events.

KV is not getting thru to VA defense. Just trying to tire him out by long rallies would not work.

Why is Ginting and J. Christie ranked so low? Ginting is ranked #42 in the world, what?

Is it because Ginting is injured? Is it also because J. Christie didn't play many tournaments this year?

The BWF world tour finals is so weird this year, with a lot of top players not in it (IMO, I don't really think the 8 MS players in this BWF world tour finals are really the best 8 MS players in the world).

It worked against LZJ, not by tiring him but making him lost patience and thus making errors.

Best year for lower ranking players to make some money. May not win championship but could get some price money to without much effort.

KV does have good control but he is just waiting for VA to make a mistake or counter attack.... not working.

LZJ should learn from this. Recall the current second Thai men*s single used to give LZJ hard time, now hardly. There are some weakness in KV that can be exploited.

Congratz to Viktor! Let's see if he can win the WC next!

Despite the weaker 8 MS players in this World Tour Finals, Viktor is still the best in the world, especially with his win over Momota a few weeks ago. If Viktor can maintain this form, he is the person to beat heading into the WC.

I actually have Viktor as the favorite winning the WC, over Momota. Who would have ever thought Viktor would be a favorite to win the WC in the era of Momota. Having said that, if Momota is healthy, I put Momota as 2nd favorite to win the WC, but that depends on Momota's health.
