Complete abomination, and Apriyani can't kill to save her life, even from the mid court, even after "jumping" as "high" as she can.

Anyways, been waiting to see HBJ all day, this group's dynamics heavily depend on which "version" of HBJ we'll be treated with (hopefully, the flash in the pan one) As much as I love CYF , I really want to see HBJ do good here, or its all but gone for such a talented player.

Believe it or not HBJ is leading 4-1 in their H2H

Her negative H2H only against TTY, NO and AY

HBJ needs to win the entire tournament, because she's been so blatantly robbed at the "Best Dressed" Award. What a legend! :D

Not the best version of ZhengHuang but this win is very good for YutaHiga's confidence for upcoming Olympic in their homeland

Last match of the day for Minions tomorrow... Maybe change of time can bring change of fortune since their last 2 defeats against EndoW is played in the afternoon time.

Maybe next time they should have grass court, hard court and others like tennis. Make it more varieties with the court color and texture, not only green or red.

This year WC Sindhu vs this year IO and JO Yamaguchi would have been a great match up. Coming into this match, both Yamaguchi and Sindhu have been struggling with form. Let's see how it turns out.

Yamaguchi overdoing quite a few times in service returns. Sindhu nearly lost her lead from 17-11 to 17-15 but did well later.

I think after 2 games we can say that both can play better than they've shown today, but also that both have shown improvements from recent months. What concerns me about AY is that she looks really unfit, even by her slighty "too round" standards. What have they been doing in recent months when she crashed out of all those tournaments early?

Excellent fighting spirit shown by Yamaguchi. This result should restore some of her confidence.

Yamaguchi simply cruised away in the third game. I agree to you, both the players played better than these past few months but I doubt this performance is enough to win the tournament. Yamaguchi can reach semis , small hope for Sindhu , I guess. Let's see, Sindhu's fate will depend on tomorrow's match
