Wow... I bet they don't play very intensive games, right? Otherwise, can't think how their hands could survive.

I wrap mine up to the "E" of the "YONEX" on the cone, or at least try to be consistent everytime:)

I know this guy who plays on wood as well. He is very good though but only has a thin tape around the grip. I tried it and its very hard to play with.

same here, cuz holding the racket higher in doubles, especially in flat rally exchanges and return of serves gives you a much faster swing

Well, I tried to play whitout grip, wood only too. It is very very good. You can feel the shuttle very well and precise shots, but the wood get wet very fast and gets disgusting.

If the wood wouldnt change I would always play on teh wood :)

With the advent of some pros, such as Sigit, wrapping the grip tape up onto the shaft, I saw a kid at our club who had his racquet grip taped all the way up to the T-joint of the racquet! :D *LOL*

It was one of the funniest things I had ever seen. And what made it even more amusing was that he was using towel grip so his entire racquet was "fuzzy". I thought all he need to complete "the look" was to hang a pair of fuzzy dice off the top of the head! :D

The following day I over heard a couple of juniors giggling about him, and how he had been serving by holding the racquet right up to the T-joint! "He got me with that crazy drive serve!" one of them exclaimed *LOL* :D.

Kids come up with the darnest things... :p

The trick is not to grip so hard... he probably uses his fingers more;).

    We shouldn't laugh!! (too hard!)

Sometimes, it's these crazy ideas that may create a technique that everybody will use in the future.

Maybe, we can start holding our racquets at the T-joint like a ping-pong paddle and do the cross-over underhand slice serve! :D :D :D

You never know, this kid may become #1 in the world....(should we start buying stocks in towel grips?!)

just a thought, if you wrap all the way up to the shaft.. wouldn't that "counter" any benefits of the "control cap - found on the AT's " and "vibration thingy" found on the babolat rackets ?

As for the kid with the towel grip all the way up the shaft... perhaps he was trying to even out a head heaby racket! :p :D

Doesn't the balance shift in the racket after adding that much grip bother you? I mean... gripping up that high is like  style.

I don't know how you do it, much less how Sigit does it.

Why not just cut the shaft off completely and use the racket head like a table-tennis paddle :D

Why not just buy a table tennis racket which is cheaper instead of making one.

Grip all the way up to the shaft is just destroying the art & paint jobs of a racquet!!;)

It becomes really ugly!! (Unless you can find a nice looking grip, which is something I have not seen oftenly)

I remembered dat it was exactly the racquet in the pic which smashed the new bird out of shape at the first shot by Smashingbird last Sat..

Any one would like to imitate gripping like this? It might probaly make your opponents shivered.

    :D
