Make in "just handle", we should specify top of the handle, middle and all the way to the bottom (like Mia).

    Just a suggestion.

Although i grip differently for my different rackets, most of them are still gripped on the handle only. Mebbe we should be allowed to vote multiple times for our different rackets?

For doubles games I prefer a racquet which is gripped about 1 inch up the shaft, for singles, just to the top of the cone.

Really depends, though, if I'm at the back I'll grip all the way to the back - if up front, automatically goes all the way up to the cone.

All my rackets are gripped right up to the shaft / cone junction with an over grip. The original grip remains.

grip ... is this poll about grips, i.e. Overgrap, replacement grips etc., or about where you place your palm/fingers on the handle?

Got confused when I read wilfredf's post.

it depends on what I am doing. For service return and smash return, I grip it up to almost the cone. but for smash, I grip close to the bottom.

Just use the one which you spend most time playing with. i.e. if you use different grip wrapping for singles and doubles, but play more doubles, vote for your doubles racquet. And vice versa.

mtakako, wilfredlgf and others, read the question :D
Is holding the racquet in your hand called 'wrapping'?;)

    Thanks Kwun!

The only reason I asked was because I normally grip no further than the top of the handle and leave the cone free from grip, but just recently I gripped up to the top of the cone and have noticed that when I hold the racket I do so further up the grip with a shortened grip.

I don't mean to but it has just occured for no reason, I hope it does not stay the same through the game! It's probably because I can't see the cone now and just adjusted or compensated autimatically

I am so sorry, people. :D
I guess waking up so early in the morning after staying up until the wee hours to follow the general elections (and hoping for a public holiday..) would blur anybody's head.

Just the handle. My post sounded as if I could change the wrapping of the grip at will depending on situation, eh Dave?

    :D

(off begin)You heard right, Dave, but only one of two. The second nearly lost anyway, paper thin margin. The comment by the president, "We will conduct a post-mortem on this matter. The lost is too.. 'spectacular' ".

    And we're all disappointed - no hols... :( :D
Waking up was as hard as going to the dentist.
    (off end)

I experimented with wrapping all the way up to the beginning of of the shaft and it felt good for a while, sort of brings the balance into the middle, but I stopped doing that once I took it off, part of the Yonex paint went off!!

for the past few months now, i've started to grip my racket onto the start of the shaft (right after the cone, maybe a centimeter up). I'm pretty much an all around player as I do play singles and doubles quite often. Due to the doubles factor and how high i hold the racket when serving and driving, I've gripped my racket in the fashion mentioned. As for singles, if I were to only play singles, I would highly doubt that I'd grip my racket the way I do currently.
