We can also see this as a hellish draw for He Hanbin-Yu Yang... ;) They won't look forward to meet the 2008 Japan Open XD champion in the first round either... :p

Rian-Yoke will defeat Boe-Mogensen one of these days... Hopefully as early as this 2008 HK Open SS... We're going to have fun watching them together, badMania... :D

KKK-TBH are good, but Bona-Ahsan will not surrender easily... ;)

Super Series back to 'high standard' with numerous top-names will come to Hongkong. There're some interesting matches since the beginning, so competitive...

Well, Japan SS winner vs OG bronze medalist? 49:51, if I may say.

As for Bona/Ahsan, they had what it takes to beat Fairuz/Zakry (virtually MAS current MD #2). TO win over Koo/Tan? Tough task indeed, but not impossible... ;)
Have more confidence in our shuttlers, will ya?:)

Just saw Yoke's profile in Djarum's website and he lists Boe/Mogensen as his most feared opponent :eek::cool: Quite true though, Rian/Yoke never managed to beat the Danish no 2 pair in a number of attempts

Now, there's news that Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan will be defending their title in the Hong Kong Super Series :) But, they are going to negotiate a very very tough draw comprising of possibly 4 MAS pairs if they are to reach the Final again.

R32 vs Hong Chieng Hun/Ng Kean Kok -- reasonable opening match.
R16 vs possibly Choong Tan Fook/Lee Wan Wah -- they have not met Choong/Lee for a year now....should be interesting.
QF vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong or Bona Septano/Mohd Ahsan -- another match with Koo/Tan should be interesting.
SF vs Mohd Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari/Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif or Tony Gunawan/Candra Wijaya -- again, not easy.
F vs Jung Jae Sung/Lee Yong Dae or Fu Haifeng/Cai Yun or Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen or Rian Sukmawan/Yonathan Suryatama Dasuki -- a meeting with Jung/Lee will be a cracking Final!

And if this KOR pair wins against Kido/Hendra (which is the least thing I want to happen), expect this CONQUER and HEAD-TO-HEAD fella to appear.:p

Yeah well, Markis/Hendra had the same problem with one pair before, now they've beaten that pair twice in a row where it mattered. So Rian/Yoke should take that as, ahem, divine inspiration. :)
