    Hello.

I used to play a lot when I was young. Now I like to start again after a break on almost 20 years.

The problem is which racket to buy.
My favourites from back then was the Carbonex 21 and aerotus 80
(did not get along with aerotus 100)

I ugess I might need racket that are not so stiff now since it was 20 years since I played.

Can you give me a recomendation.
I would prefere a yonex again

    I checked carbonex 21:
    Flex: Stiff
    Head: Oval / Traditional
    Weight: 89-92gm(2U-)
    B.Pt: 8 (Head Heavy Balance)

    so.. you want medium shaft
how about the BP? still head heavy or go for even balance (or even head light)?

    how about your budget?

    BP? What does that mean.
THe budget is not a problem. I prefere to be satisfied and poor before unsatisfied and rich ;-)
    I don't think I like a head havy racket.
I have been trying a ArcSaber 5 five (only 10 minutes ....) and after that I don't like to play with my old Aerotus 100 any more.
My old rackets feels to havy after trying that racket.

I wrote one thing wrong abowe, I used to get along with aerotus 100, but not with aerotus 110.
Currently I don't get along with any of my old rackets.

    BP is balance points
your carbonex 21 is a head heavy racket
that means the mass is mostly in the head
head heavy racket is good for smash, but in return your speed might decrease

the arcsaber series is an even balance BP racket

my cab 21 was broken 20 years agao so I realy can't try what I think of it today.
It was my favourite when I was playing over 20 years ago.

I would guess that I want a raquet that is easy to play with since I have not been playing for almost 20 years.
But I also want something that will sute me when I'm in a better shape (if i will ever be)

DO you think that the ArcSaber 5DX will be a good choice.
I was looking at the Z-Slash since it's pretty sheep right now but after reading here i think I might not be able to handle it
    if it's to stiff.

I could look at Babolat, Prince and FOrza, Head or Wilson to. Yonex is not a must.
But I have always used yonex in the past so....

The Arcsaber 5DX is a good racket
but the Arcsaber 7 is the same flexibility (medium) and it is slightly better then the Arcsaber 5DX
but it is all personal preference.

Ok. I was looking at the ArcSaber 7 but the problem is that the shops I'm looking at don't sell the 7 anymore.

Well. Now I have sent an e-mail and asked. But it seems like it have disapeared from most of the webshops that exist in my country.
I guess that there must be a reason for that.

I see, I have tried the Arcsaber 100 LTD which is a Arcsaber 7 with a different paint job.
but the racket is good, if you don't have a lot of power in your arm you should a Medium flex racket.

The shops I'm looking at used to have the 100 Limited Edition but they are out of them.

I'm a bit picky about where I buy since I dont want to get any fake racket

thats odd... yonex recently released a 2011 arc 7 which is colored in white. there are some threads floating around on this forum :D
it looks really nice. heard its a solid racket as well. you should try that if you can get one.
as far as other brands, i have victor sw35, but thats a stiff racket so nevermind that.

perhaps consider wilson recon/vertex blx? the recon blx is more suited more singles (heavier) and the vertex blx for doubles (lighter). theyre both slightly head heavy and medium to medium stiff in flex. nice graphics and theyre used by sho sasaki and jonas ramussen. theyre cheaper than yonex rackets :D well, at least in the US lol

Don't worry I think everyone doesn't want a fake racket.

I prefer the paint job of this new Arc7 then the one before
this one looks similar to a Z-Slash

    same!
although the specs of the Arc7 aren't the ones I like (I use a ArcZS) I would buy because of its paint job!

I still have my Aerotus 100 and Boron 2 rackets if I want something headheavy. SO i think I would like to go for something that are not head heavy.

Mabe I should start to re-string my boron 2 (it has been sitting on a shelf for 20 years) and se how I
feel about that before I decide what to do.
