Yes 2 years ago. But why KevGid will lose any sleep on that? How can they be unbeatable ( for the need to show that?) lol

They already win 9SS since then overtaking LeeYoo record in a year is already enough said who is a better pair at its prime and i cant remember GC praising LYD more than how she praises Kevin. maybe should ask her who is better player..

It would be good. They would add a bit more charisma and "random" factor to the men's doubles scene.

Kev/Gid definitely has gained a lot more confidence after their consecutive superseries champions. That is why I say it would be interesting NOW to see them play against lyd/yys. Before, Kev would not do a flying backhand smash. Exciting, ultra mega aggression is their forte and they did not use that against Leeyoo before. My point is the MD stage these days, even wih Zhangnan, doesnt have the calm and defence to cope with the INA pair. It’s like the INA pair is just one step a head of our time. So the solution is that we went back one step from our time to the defensive gods and try in our imagination to pitch these two polar opposite pairs against each other and see what happens :D

Lee Yong Dae is not only a defensive god but the Ultimate Counter Attacking Machine.

Very true. Defense seems to be an afterthought now in MD.

Yes yes. But again his cross court block was caught out in the Olympics by the Malaysian pair and as in my previous post, i think Kevin is just ready to pounce on any attempt to turn the attack. I would be blessed in my life time to see these pairs play seriously against each other (not exhibition match)

Weak defence and only know how to attack, that's why MD is boring lately.

For me, Lee Yong Dae should be in his absolute Peak acc. to his age but shame he chose to retire.

Also todays MD is weak, then we had Koo/Tan, Cai/Yu, Jung/Lee, Kido/Setiawan to share the dominance. It is hard to win a lot of title. Now we have a lot of B+ pair.

Its probably not poor defense of other pairs that causes minions winning SS.

Too easy to say good defense will make pairs win or bad defense will make them loses. KevinGideon dont even use powerful attacks.

My observation is most pairs are tall, so they like to do dropshots to tire them out with low shots. Thats why lifting is not good idea. Tall pairs have to keep attacking and gain initiative but is almost impossible because of speed difference. and now the though of them already having 9SS puts the opponent morale down just before the match starts.

It's even sadder because of the skillset he possesses, I think he could be a Top 3 till 35/36.

There are no three setters under 20 mins in badminton. Even the breaks takes up 6 minutes.
Even if I play LCW, I will make sure it goes beyond 21 mins. I want to have my moments of glory.:D

To begin with why must be those 4 pairs? there were many legends.. Why dont blame these 4 pairs to be compared with the 70s/80s/90s era.

Calling the MD now as weak is disrespectful. Mouth is worst than actions.

Its not Kevin fault to be born in 1995.

Because not much data can be retrieved from those old old days. ;)
What? Disrespectful? I have seen people call MS, WD, XD weak and no one bats an eye?
