GVS not bad actually. Looks like he has the footsteps. If no successor to LCW, he may be an option.

what if GVS changed to play singles by the order of Frost, and who will partner TWK as doubles?

    Congrats to them!

Tan must've been practicing his serve and return a lot recently. :)

Both were not steady yesterday. On paper they should win the match comfortably.
Against a better pair they would have lost the match in 2 straight games.
GVS plays too many fancy shots, especially his top spin backhand.
And many of his lifts were short of the baseline.

for the 3rd time they lost to Ahsan/Setiawan in 3 games, wasn't that hard to beat the INA no.1 pair...

Over the past year they appear to be a decent pair who can cause upsets here and there but lacks something to ever reach the top. Still the best we got though.

In the match against Ko/Shin, Tan played very well, but Goh was inconsistent and made mistakes from time to time.

Goh/Tan....if both of you keep playing defensive game you will never be champions.....

against the Japanese in AE semi, you keep lifting and you expect to win?

It happened with KKK/TBH too when met top tier opponents they seems like to switch to defensive. IDK why..but the tactics not working at all. MD should go offensive mode..

They had their chances to nail their very first Super Series title ; the most prestigious of all too. With Ahsan/Setiawan, Fu/Zhang, Lee/Yoo all out of the tournament.
It is a shame but Endo/Hayakawa was the better pair of the day - they really improved so much especially in their defensive play (they were definitely scrubbier before :p ), props to Park Joo Bong really.

I'm still very optimistic that they are medal contenders in the upcoming Rio OG, they just have to step up their game.
