BAM have no other option. It seems "Now or never"

Asked if it was a mistake to split them up in the first place, V Shem said: “It’s hard to tell. At that time, it seemed like the best decision.

    Previous news:

"As both these pairs are still highly ranked, they can help to position Malaysia higher for qualification and also for seeding purposes."

In the next few months, the old and new pairings will be entered for different tournaments"

Therefore, there's a risk that the new pairing of Wee Kiong-Yew Sin and V Shem-Ee Yi may not qualify to play in Level 2 and 3 tournaments at all and most of Level 4 tournaments."

They were very receptive of the decision because they know that above all, the country comes first and they are also aware of the new BWF ruling. I hope that they will be able to achieve the best results possible.

Good re-evaluation of priorities and breaking the cycle of defeats that they were in. Sometimes that is needed. Hope they come back as strong as before.

Don't get me wrong; I'm happy they're back together but man, with all that drama last year though...

There are bound to be some conflict in their partnership but I wish them to ignore it for the country.

Hmm... I knew there was a bit of tension between them but as I don't follow this pair frequently, I must have missed out on the drama? What drama was there?

Yeah that tension is what I'm saying and how it appeared that they couldn't ever fix it anymore and splitting was the only option there was. Big fan of theirs and I really only just accepted that they split and now they're back so I'm a bit annoyed but still happy

I speculate that it was much the same as when spouses have arguments even with counselling.

When you sat them down and gave the bigger picture, like for the pride of the country and the logistics involved, I guess they saw the sense.

For instance, put them into the decision making position. Can they trust themselves to bring up a new partnership to Asian games and Olympic level when the whole logic points to them being the strongest pair in the country by far? Are your partnership disagreements so much more important than winning for the country? Once you place that perspective into the picture....

i think splitting them was part of BAM plan to make them realize there are no better partner than themselves.

They were beaten by the eventual winners in Thai, so hopefully they're saving their energy for MAS open...
    We shall soon see.

Incredible. Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. There is much work to do.

That net kill by Goh out the baseline at deuce G2 to potentially close out the match is so dejavu of the same exact same shot by him when they had gold match point against Zhang/Fu at Rio OG. He definitely would benefit from some strict mental training if they want to achieve any more titles.
