It is gonna be exciting matches for 1st and 2nd day at German Open 2007. If everything's going as expected, Lin Dan will meet Taufik Hidayat A on the first day and Tommy Sugiarto on the second day.

    What do you think guys?

he'll wipe the floor with them. i really can't see anyone in the field who could beat him, maybe park sung hwan can pull off another upset? realistically though, they should just give him the title now and let the others play for the runners-up spot! :D

Taufik is meant to have trained for this one. Lin Dan is no where near as naturally gifted player as Taufik but he is a grafter. Don't be shocked if Taufik walk's away with the title. Oh that's if the nutter plays.

It's a different Taufik we are talking about, not the nutter.

Yeah I don't think LD will have any troubles with that. If LD doesn't win the tournament I will be shocked.

:p Oops, that's funny. That guy must really like Taufik to change his name to his. He must really be his no.1 fan. But you know what they say "imitation is the most sincere form of flattery".:p

Actually, TaufiQ Hidayat Akbar didn't change his name at all .. but he added a name .. he added Akbar when he entered the national team because there was already one Taufik Hidayat.
Taufiq hidayat akbar told me also that in indonesia, there is a lot of Taufik Hidayat .. it's quite a common name.
So there is no imitation there ;)

His name (the young guy) is Taufiq, not Taufik. What a coincidence that they both have a very similar name and both are badminton players .

Does Lin Dan have such phobia against the player namely Taufik(q) Hidayat ? :D If he lost against THA (Taufiq Hidayat Akbar), it could be true. Lets see.

TaufiQ is playing his third match for today now. He should beat Dieter Domke from Germany.
