Zhang/Gao lost 1st set, but advanced to 2nd round after 3 sets. The current #1 seed seems going downhill from WC. Don't know how far they can go here.

Xia vs Park for the next round, seem Xia could bounce back from the early exist in Den Open.

Their defeat wasn't to unknown players. Lee Tseun Seng lost to the 1992 Olympic Gold medalist...a former Indonesian star.

They probably are not going downhill. They just had a very tough first round opponent in Simon Archer and Donna Kellog.

    Aim high

Beating Bonsak is not the problem, facing Lin Dan is a big challenge for Choon Hann. However, I think it's time for the Choon Hann to live up to his world ranking statue, can't be giving the same excuse everytime facing Chinese players. If he's as good as he supposed to be then he should win ove Lin Dan or else malaysia players will always be dark horses in any tournament.

:) I think it's the other way round. Wouldn't Wong be a big challenge for Lin Dan?

Phew, I'm just looking through the MD and many of the matches have gone to 3 sets and some close games as well.

Main surprise is Zhang J/Chen QQ being pushed by the German pair (who are they??) and Wang Wei/Cheng Rui being beaten by HK pair!

FuHai Feng/Chai Yun , Erikson /Lungard , Limpele and Flandi advances.. It seems that Tan Fook/ Wan Wah will have hard time against Tae Won/Dong Moon pair. All the best to them.

    Xia out!

Xia lost again to Park from Korea 2-15 5-15. Xia is perhaps tired after his succes in WC and needs time to recover, lets hope so..Another surprise came when Polsana won against Wong Choong Hann...And for a dane like me it was great to see Gade back winning 15-7 15-4 against Chen Yu. Very impressive by Gade...

Its also great to see that the livescore is on the website now :D

I just can't see any live scoring on the German Open site. Where do you find it?
