Yeah! I think Chen Hong has the chance to win this tourney.. CH and LD can beat each other at one time or another though it won't matter to me much if it's Lin Dan or Chen Hong or even Chen Jin who wins this tourney since they are all Chinese. Too bad Bao withdrew.. was he injured?

Yah... is Bao injured???  Hope he can make it to AE2006... Though Lin Dan has high high chance, but guess I'll place my bets on Chen Hong this time (cos i hope he can win LD).... :D :D

Zhang/Yang are already through to the semis.

And the only potential non-chinese WD in the semis (Lee/Lee) are in a bad position, having lost the first game 15-10 to Zhang/Wei. (though leading 6-3 now...)

Its 1 set all between Wei/Zhang vs Lee/Lee as well as for Chen vs Lee.

Wei/Zhang are roaming home, whilst Chen still crawling in the rubber set

Chen Jin won! It's nervy moments in the women's doubles. The Chinese were leading 14-6, then the Korean got back to 14-13. Service now goes back to the Chinese.

The Chinese pair seals it 15-13 in the rubber game. So, it looks like an all-Chinese affair in the semi-final.

Just to correct your error, I never called anybody "ridiculous" or "crazy". I said the comment is ridiculous and the prediction is crazy. I think this is different from attacking the person and is acceptable in proper debate (ie attacking the facts and arguments and not the person).

I don't remember being warned before so how can this be a last warning. You only get one warning around here?

A good start by Simon, he leads Kaspar Oedum 9-4 in the first set.

Anthony Clark/Robert Clair finally beats Hwang Ji Man/Han Sang Hoon 15-9, 17-15.

Simon takes the first set 15-9. Hopefully, no screw-ups in the second set.

Its level at 8-8 in the second set....pretty tight game. Everytime Simon pulls ahead, Oedum manages to tie it.

Simon gets 3 points in a row to make it 11-8, but Oedum yet again closes it to 11-10. Still too tight to tell....

why so worried? Simon is way ahead of Oedum, several levels up. If Simon did fail, then he must be injured, or sick or lost his mind that time.

What I worry is that how he plays Chen Jin next round, that's a real test for Simon.

Err...I wouldn't want to be so sure. Oedum is a hardworking, stubborn player. He took the first set against Bao yesterday. The way things go in the first set and second set, Simon certainly does not have it easy for him (compared to vs Sato or even Joppien). Everytime he leads, Oedum catches him (esp in the second set). As I am typing, Oedum wins the second set 15-12.

    What can I say.....
