13-5 Gade. Chen Hong is in trouble. he hasn't been able to beat Gade at the net and he can't read Gade's deceptive shots.
Chen is climbing back to 11-14 now. Chen looks like he just woke up from his long nap. speeding up on his feet and pushing Gade around a little bit. 12-14 now.
Gade won first game, 17-15 Gade was winning 14-5 at one point, Chen pulled back to lead 15-14, then Gade got 3 points and won the first set. at this rate, i am putting my money on Chen, even though he lost the first game.
unlike CM, peter gade seem to have the formula for his chinese opponent. 15,367 match points? kwun, better check whether u still have your finger nails
Wasn't Chen Hong simply amazing in the first set when he levelled with Gade 14-14, after being 5-14 down? I'm impressed by the Chinese players. They've got a damn lot of fighting spirit; always ready to work until the last shuttle has hit the ground. It's wonderful how they do it - my parents keep wishing I had their type of attitude. Before the exams, they'll start drawing on badminton analogies and tell me stuff like, "it ain't over till it's over". To quote Darren Hall, it all lies in being "positive". I think he repeated this word about 100 million times during both the semis.
completely agree. i was giving up already. Chen gave me hope when he came back, i thought if he could maintain that, he could've won the last two games. but looked like he just wasn't too into it on the second game. i also noticed that Chen wasn't using his furious attacks. strange.
