    The so-called controversial line call in the 3rd set when the score was 17/17 was a good call. I had to replay this shot-I have the whole match on my DVD HD-a few times at 1/4 speed and the shuttle was dead on the line and it went down the line a few more inches before it veered out. LCW's outburst was a bit pre-mature and it provoked a complaint on LCW's uncharacteristic outburst from Bao to the umpire.

    [IMG]:confused: Pressure, he never look enjoy to play through the whole match. and he still lack of killing power. you can see that BCL keep serve high and the way LCW return doesn't have any strategy.
    Lin Dan at the recent Hong Kong Open, you can see that some of his smash from the base line is different than before, if that weapon can be more consistent, it will be more dangerous for other player, and LCW too.

    You are right that some people are overblowing this incident stating that Bao does not deserve the win. I think Bao handled this match well which is why LCW said Bao played some excellent badminton today. However, whether or not it will help your players overcome their opponents, head coaches or even regular coaches shouldn't have to sink that low through these actions may it be before, during, or after the match.

    on my opinion,this r the reasons LCw lost...
    1st.he din at his best form as i can juz giv him an OK form for LCW
    2nd.his luck was not tat good as several out prediction were wrong in the important time where match point was given,if not he will win it
    3rd.the pressure was too high on him as the 1st seed onli won the title a few times and all eyes are on to see him fall...
    4th.the most important n horrific reason-LI YONG BO...who did a GOOD job by shouting to threaten LCW and made him lose concentration...
    by adding 2nd,3rd & 4th reason...there are 5th reason...he feel tat it will not be an enjoyable match as he will face LYB if he won the match and he give up to win it...
    afterall there are 1 more factor and tat is BCL has reach the peak after break the mr runner up curse...
    tat's all i for me.anyway i feel sad for LCW caz been threaten like tat=.=

    Yeah, u guys are right, LYB is not an excuse for LCW's loss... So next year LYB should say nothing at all about the Malaysian crowd when I yell something to his players... But hopefully, I wouldnt have to do that :D

    Because he is not good enough, that's all.

    The first possibility is not quite accurate, as we know LCW is NOt the hot headed kind of player, so i assume overconfidence did not play the biggest factor. (If we are talking about LD, then you might be right)

    Pressure, I predict, is what doomed him from the beginning.

    that's just personal opinion.:)

    Dream matchup

    Certainly pressure is the key factor for CW but don't blame him as he has so many Chinese players to beat in order win any Open title with Chinese participating. Just look at other non-chinese top guns and how well have they fair agianst the Chinese? Is Peter, Taufik, Hyun Il, Boonsak. Kenneth do better than Chong Wei? I think our expectation is just way too high on Chong Wei ... If "Organization of China" is smart then someone should propose the invitation like "Wolld Elites vs China"(similar to 2004 for women event) in Men's Event, imagine the lineup :
    1st MD : Lin Dan vs Lee Chong Wei;
    1st MD : Fu/Cai vs Eriksen/Lungaard;
    2nd MS : Bao Chun Lai vs Peter Gate;
    2nd MD : Guong/Zheng vs Chan/Koo;
    3rd MS : Chen Hong/Chen Jin vs Taufik Hidayat/Lee Hyun Il
    Wow, the dream matchup, won't you say so?

    Fantastic idea! Unfortunately, CHN won't dare take up such an invitation cos they won't have the confidence to fight on a one to one basis. CHN 's too CHickeN.

    well, how does your country do?

    OMG i forgot that the chinese lost whole tournment because Singapore beat them nice and hard.

    Singapore is the biggest winner, since they took MD MS WD WS gold medal and lost only XD. cheers ~~

    PS jeez.. that guy is fifty years old.... from his post, he sounds like he was about 12. His age is either fake or he is mentally sick. (U know, old people have that) Cause a mature person should not give non-sense BS in public. Ur kids are watching u, grandpa

    seriously, u r making me laugh.
    Isn't it the reason why lcw lost in 06 WC because he lack confidence ?
    Wouldn't a showdown would put even more pressure on lcw's shoulders?
    Lets compare hardwares, LD won more titles than LCW, why the need of a special showdown to prove LD's supremacy again? Top sportman and entertainers don't come cheap. If you want to see a special showdown to please your senses again, u have to pay for it, just like the canadian vs US sprinters (bailey vs johnson) in a 150m race, $500,000 each to show up, $1 million for the winner. Bailey (Cdn) holds the WR on 100m while johnson (US) hold the WR on the 200m. The american want to challenge the canadian sprinter because they say johnson was faster on a meter/sec basis, quack mathematic if u ask me lol. Bailey won, LOL.
