Really? Without Palyama, Pang and Meulendijks? Why?

They have personal sponsorship agreements with non-yonex brands and the new deal the dutch federation closed with Yonex requires everyone to play in full Yonex outfit and equipment. Currently being argued in court of law ...

So in the meanwhile they can't be selected ;) (for national team duty). Yonex pays comparatively poor so not surprised they won't give up their deals. No Rachel van Cutsen either who is sponsored by HEAD but no special mention I see. So basically the top 3 women and top 2 men won't be there. The Forza players have been released from their contracts though, officially to not hinder the development of dutch badminton (mostly the junior players had Forza contracts)
No Yao Jie either who just signed for Carlton ...

For you as a spectator for sure but on the other hand it's about time the replacements have to put up and show what they're worth ...
One upside is you get to see one of the prettiest players we have [IMG].

Note: Meulendijks is sponsored by Forza Denmark. The ones released from their Forza contract were signed by Forza Netherlands.

So, Paaske/Rasmussen should be in a semi-retired mood now, with DEN promoting it's younger doubles like Anders Kristiansen/Kasper Henriksen and Rasmus Bonde/Simon Mollyhus.

:D, I was actually following up my own post, yours wasn't there at the time I opened the reply (or the page wasn't refreshed). I see one name on the polish men's team that is different/ missing from your lineup.

Yes. But the name of the main difference:eek: is Kamila Augustyn, Polish champion 2010 in WS & WD. She said so to Polish press.

I completely read over that as I wasn't even expecting her name to be in there on tournamentsoftware. I saw an "A" and skipped right to the next name thinking it would be Agnieszka but instead it says "Augustyn, Kamila".
Interesting: also missing the three best womens singles players then! You would think they don't want to qualify along with Netherlands :D.

Probably they dwell on 8.2.1 (Linling) and 8.2.2 (Olga) of BWF Regulations:mad:

About Olga & Linling was clear earlier. But with Kamila a bit surprised. Perhaps the association try to persuade her and she will change her mind?
