well, if badminton wants to be pro, BWF needs to reduce BA authority by allowing players/pairs to submit their names in tournaments by themselves, IMHO

The tournament referee said NO even with the help of Juniarto...Referee is afraid that other countires may protest..anyway...it is PBSI's mistake and BWF needs to do something to prevent it..actrually BWF haqd an idea already..dont know when they will implement it

    Paperwork Foul-Up Leaves Shuttlers Fuming

An administrative mistake put an end to three Indonesian shuttlers’ dreams of playing in a Super Series tournament hosted by their own country.

Vita Marissa and Hendra Aprida Gunawan, the world’s fourth-ranked mixed doubles pair, and Alvent Yulianto Chandra were shocked to see their names left off the Indonesian Open Super Series entry list.

Hendra said he and Vita had sent their registrations for the next two Super Series events, the Singapore and Indonesia Opens, to the Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) on May 4, well ahead of the May 18 deadline. The Singapore Open takes place on June 15-20, with the Indonesia Open following on June 22-27 at Istora Gelora Bung Karno.

However, they found their names entered for the Singapore tournament but not their home Super Series.

“We have asked the PBSI and it seemed like everyone was trying to blame everybody else. We just want an explanation as to why they could make such an error,” Hendra told a news conference on Wednesday.
