Was thinking the same thing I had expected Nathan Rice to be in there at least. Then again it's not likely they'll get any MS points so it would make more sense to take doubles players instead.
Its look like England team had a realistic aim. They just want to stay in group 1 and probably for Nathan and Emms, try not to lose any match. Probably this will relax them and they can play all out and trouble other team in their groups.
UK Sport Newsletter "Sudirman Cup"- 28 April 2005 From UK Sport Newsletter - 28 April 2005 www.uksport.gov.uk IN BRIEF BADMINTON… England have suffered a setback in their preparations ahead of the Sudirman Cup, after Simon Archer was forced to withdraw from the squad for the World mixed team championships in Beijing. The Olympic mixed doubles bronze medallist from Sydney 2000 underwent minor surgery on his right knee, which has ruled him out. His place goes to David Lindley, who was already in the squad as back up to Archer. More @ www.badmintonengland.co.uk
