Hey Han did you get my email? just making sure cos my computer kinda screwed up yesterday and don't mind if you received more than one copy of it. Anyway do you have the 1999 world championships and the 2002 all england?Thanx.
No WC1999 and AE2002 video Hi : I do not have the video of the 2 tournaments you are listed. Sorry. Han
Got the WC2003 DVD's from Han, I rate the quality to be good, its not DTS 5.1 stuff, but decent enough to get absorbed into the atmosphere. Gripping stuff, lots of exciting moments! I have no complaints or regrets buying these DVD's!!! Looking forward to the WC2004 and Athens 2004!!! BTW, where was the WC2003 held? Who were the English commentators? Were they ex-professionals or smart-*rses who claim to know everything about anything and everyone???? fusion_m8.
WC is held every 2 years. The next one will be WC2005. But this is still a busy year, TC/UC, Athens, Grand Prix Final, ... Need to start having peanut butter sandwiches for lunch in order to pay Han for these upcoming DVDs.
You're lucky you still have water to drink Given the gas price is going up, I may force to raise my DVD price too.
- To Han's followers, After you have accumulated all of Han's catalogue but you still miss some matches, please PM me and I will be very happy to make some exchanges with some of you.
what does gas price have to do with dvd Isn't dvd related to the cost of dvd writer and blank dvd? which we all know where they're heading ...
Just received the AE 2004 DVD set from Han, very sharp images and less noise, excellent quality. Strongly recommend it. 7 DVDs for 30 dollars - great price. Better get it earlier before the gas price goes up even higher, so that I can still have peanut butter sandwiches and water while watching the DVDs.
Just like to thank Han for the recent batch of DVD's that he sent me. I have just finished watching the FROST -v- JIAN in the 1985 WC. What a great match Frost and also L.S. King were the players I grew up watching and it was great to see them playing again. The camera work is actually very good and shows the great footwork of Frost, anyone who feels their footwork is not great should watch him in action
AE has the best camera technique Among all tournaments, I have to rate All England Championship as the best in camera positioning, court coverage and camera switching during play. I hope other tournaments can learn from AE. Traditionally,Thomas Cup also is pretty good.
Yo Han, you got any DVD's showing Misbun, Rashid, Jailani and Razif Sidek when they were dominating back in the 80's? Also Yang Yang or Morten Frost etc...???? I have vivid memories about the Thomas Cup 1988 (or was that 87?) that the Sidek bros won the mens doubles against Chen Kang and partner in the finals, you got any material on that too? Chewy
Bbn is the man for oldies Hi Fusion_M8: For more complete oldies, I think Bbn is the right guy to ask, not me. I do have some but not really as extensive as Bbn. Can you help Fusion_M8 please, Bbn?
- I have no objections, but try to have sth to exchange. I think its simply not feasible to transfer money across boundaries. And one thing One has to accept old footages are never perfect, and the quality of tv images are nowhere near cable/satelitte transmissions today.
