You can see how hard it is on his body but he's really got the passion for the game. That's what drives him

SJH has won many times against Ratchanok , their H2H is 6-6. Definitely expected a three setter

The SSF would've been better and more representative if it's expanded to the top 16 in each category.

Looks like Tian Houwei has become more energetic, proactive, better footwork and wristwork than before; overall improvement in attack and defense..

Sung Ji Hyun's fine form carries over from the KOR Open triumph.

Definitely like the top 8 format. There would no prestige whatsoever in a top 16 tournaments. This works for tennis and many other sports.

Yes, their H2H is 6-6 but 4 last meetings won by RI by the way.

Today, I think SJH will make it 7-6 over RI

Ratchanok clearly still not fully fit. It's pretty sad to see. She has already given up on this game.

Wonder whether Ratchanok is gonna withdraw after this match. Clearly not moving well

Of course, he lost to Lin Dan in the CBSL. Still room for improvement in Tian Houwei, about time he makes a breakthrough or a couple more of his junior teammates will soon leave him behind.

Indeed, it's not the top-form Intanon that we used to watch but Sung Ji Hyun shows well improvement lately, faster and more aggressive despite still slow starter at the early match.
