Group-stage draw has been conducted on 12th December then followed by annual BWF Award Presentation and gala dinner who cast shuttlers in glam and stylish look under the spotlight. Three-time Olympic silver medalist Lee Chong Wei will eye another Superseries Final title collection after won four times (2008, 2009, 2010, 2013), this is the first time ever Dubai appearance for Malaysian hero. Danish star Viktor Axelsen will be his major hurdle in group stage match although Son Wan Ho and recent HKG Superseries winner Ng Ka Long are expected to deliver stiff resistance for Lee. In group A, Destination Dubai top-ranked Jan O Jorgensen should have no serious problem to book semifinal spot considering his impressive China Open Premier victory. China sole representative in this category Tian Houwei, German fighter Marc Zwiebler and lucky qualifier Hu Yun have equal chance to accompany Jorgensen into knock-out stage. Rio Olympic Final rematch will happen in Dubai where both Rio silver and bronze medalist, Carolina Marin-P.V. Sindhu occupy same group alongside with current KOR & DEN champion Akane Yamaguchi. It's tough task for tall Chinese Sun Yu to face her heavyweight opponents unless she could produce outstanding feat. The new world number one Tai Tzu Ying with her excellent and fascinating performance is predicted to progress, other names in group A fray, former world champion Ratchanok Intanon, 2014 beaten finalist Sung Ji Hyun and China rising star He Bingjiao. Indonesia number one Gideon/Sukamuljo have good prospect to clear group stage based on their positive head to head against another competitors, Conrad/Kolding and teammates Pratama/Suwardi. It's challenging draw for Destination Dubai top-ranked Kamura/Sonoda who have trouble against the Indonesians particularly Pratama/Suwardi. Rio silver medalist Goh VS/Tan WK should be group B frontrunner and it's will be tricky outlook for the vast experienced Danish pair, last year runner-up Chai B/Hong W and China towering youngsters Li JH/Liu YC to secure semifinal berth. 2016 BWF best female player Matsutomo/Takahashi undoubtedly will be strongest contender to retain their 2014 title, thanks to stellar performances along this season to grab All England crown, Rio gold medal and three other Superseries titles (IND Open, INA Premier, DEN Premier). Join them in group A, Fukuman/Yonao, Korean duo Chang YN/Lee SH and defending champion Luo twin sisters. It's obviously tough chance for Luos to repeat 2015 successful story this time. It's interesting draw for group B as three pairs have same opportunity to progress, the Dane veteran Juhl/Pedersen, Korean number one Jung KE/Shin SC and Chinese rookies Chen QC/Jia YF while Malaysians Vivian/Woon need magical performance to book final four. World number one Ko SH/Kim HN, the Olympic Champion Ahmad/Natsir, three-time winner Fischer/Pedersen and reigning All England champion Jordan/Susanto are drawn in same group describing group A as group of hell, unpredictable outcome at stake. It's reversal draw for group B, two Chinese pairs Zheng SW/Chen QC and Lu K/Huang YQ are favoured to overcome the remaining qualifiers, last year champion The Adcocks and Japanese underdog Kazuno/Kurihara. LIVE TV COVERAGE (01.00pm, Court 1) : 1) Chris Adcock/Gabrielle Adcock (ENG) v Kenta Kazuno/Ayane Kurihara (JPN) 2) Sun Yu (CHN) v Carolina Marin (ESP) 3) Goh V Shem/Tan Wee Kiong (MAS) v Mathias Boe/Carsten Mogensen (DEN) 4) Son Wan Ho (KOR) v Lee Chong Wei (MAS) 5) Kamilla Rytter Juhl/Christinna Pedersen (DEN) v Vivian Hoo/Woon Khe Wei (MAS) 6) Akane Yamaguchi (JPN) v Pusarla V.Sindhu (IND)

Can't wait for my absolute favorite tournament to start Toughest tournament of the year! every match is like a superseries final
LCW has the word " champion " written all over his face. He is widely expected to take the singles crown. But the form book can be ripped in a high stakes tournament. Thats the beauty of sports.
After losing four in a row in their previous meetings, Praveen/Debby finally take their first victory over the best INA XD pair Tontowi/Liliyana in straight set 21-11 and 21-12.
TIan Houwei is such a frustrating opponent, very consistent, always rallying. He's pretty boring to watch though -_- Marc Z. is too emotional on court, looks like Axelsen
XD is such an interesting match on COURT 2. You can feel the huge determination of the Danish. The koreans are getting into this second set as well
Finally gonna see Ratchanok in action !! Really missed her on the tour in this second half of the year. Let's hope she pulls off a good performance. SJY is no pushover ! She has made tremendous progress lately
