Why pay so much compliments to these two young CHN lesser lights ? You should be hoping and wishing instead for Saina to win the WC and qualify by virtue of it regardless of her ranking, be it 9,19 or 90, and, no, she didn't have to play a single match if then, isn't that much better?

Sure but that's irrelevant now. That policy is set by BWF. Players qualifying by the rules is set by BWF.

End of story and wishful thinking. Players have to win in order to qualify.

Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with that photo. What age are we living in now ? And it's a loving kiss by a couple who are famous badminton players after a marriage proposal, it's cause for celebration and rejoicing.

The picture is already posted in another more appropriate thread and in this thread, it's off topic.

It's not confirmed that Nozomi will play.

That would let Chen Yufei in.

I think Saina is more deserving but she blew it.

Who deserve more, is based on ranking.

well, as long as you're not #3 in your country.

Well, of course. You need to perform better than #3 to be the best.

    Most players are TTY's playfood.

Very excited for this tournament. It's only been about three months since I started watching badminton, so it will be the first time for me following alongside a major event. Hoping that Okuhara will be all recovered and in good condition. I'd love to see her play TTY. It seems they haven't played each other in more than a year, and only six games altogether.

    Except okuhara.
She has stamina and speed. And perhaps skill. But TTY is playmaker. She has magic. Unless someone emulates her

Okuhara isn't the only one, but being a previous generation player right now is ultra-tough, so it's amazing that Saina and Sung JiHyun have stayed relevant during this transformation.

Sung plays a very physical game. I guess, it's her forte which becomes her fate eventually.

That's why I say it will be tough for LXR to have a successful return.

I'm amazed she's making a return at all. I saw the injury happen, and still wish I hadn't.

    TV.
In person might have been better, because you sit further away.
