Been told that Trikus/Fauzi Adnan got invited as the Boss of the tournament's sponsor likes him a lot....since so many Philippines players go to Surya Naga for training...Surya Naga is obliged to send some of their players too to this tournament...basically to make them happy.....

Yes, they made the decision to withdraw last week due to the H1N1 Scare.
LWW/CTF is trying to prevent going out of the country due to the virus since they don't want to jeopardize their WC chances.

As for CCE/CCM worry about the H1N1. Can't blame them.

A colleague of mine was scheduled to go to Phillipines for about a week, but the trip was cancelled. The trouble is there are too many H1N1 imports from Phillipines. If the plane you are travelling in has an H1N1 carrier, then you get quarantined for a week. Worst case scenario is that you get H1N1.

Yup, no LIVE-SCORE facility for this GP Gold, only updated result...
Hmm, today's qualifying round will only stage 2 matches, 1 WS and 1 MD. Few participants plus many withdrawals due to H1N1 concern.

Fine. Their choice! Then our INA MD pairs have a better chance... In general, the more they withdraw, CHN and INA have a better shot at taking away the titles...

I once read somewhere that the worst flu pandemic in human history killed 30 million people. I understand that countries like MAS and SIN's combined total population are not even 30 million. :p Larger countries like CHN [1200+ million] and INA [240+ million] won't be wiped out yet if 30 million die... maybe that's why they worry less...

The same flu that killed 30Million is the same flu virus we have now... the Same H1N1 aka as Spanish Flu then... now its Mexican Flu or Swine flu.

Its about how strong the immune system we have. Personally im not worried and scared about this virus.
