Kido/Setiawan should make it to the SF without problems. But the JPN pair is tricky and Hashimoto/Hirata might make their first SS final if they upset Kido/Setiawan.
GWS/TKS meet top seeds in 1st round, Mak/TWK face uphill task in first round but I expect them to take revenge and move to QF.

..looks like Taufik and the Kido & Setiawan pairing will go ahead with the European SS tourneys and have less prep. time for the AG. Btw, i assume Taufik and Kido & Setiawan are going to represent INA and play in the AG?..
And, you know what, i think with LD's and LCW's and CHN's other top MS players missing, this could be another one of Taufik's best chances to finally win a SS title. All of his possible opponents/matches, i'd say, are pretty much 50-50, even against that Sho Sasaki fella.

Yup, since introduced for the first time (January 2007) he always failed to bag SS title even INA SS
Let's see whether TH can capitalise this situation (most of Asian top-players absence) or not ;)

..actually TH will have 2 very good chances, if indeed he's not withdrawing from both or either the Denmark and/or French Open SS, to win his first ever SS title..;)

Yes, golden oppotunity for TH to win his first ever SS title......with a rather easy field of players for him to handle.

He may face PG again in the final.......

With few big stars opting out (LCW, KKK/TBH, etc), it's time for Taufik and Kido/Setiawan to grab the MS and MD titles.... go go go....

Taufik does have a huge challenge though, with possibly Boonsak awaiting at the semifinals. But a Gade vs Taufik final would be very interesting, hopefully.
