50-50...how ambitious, as if they and China are the only ones competing

i would say rexy put up a fair prediction of 50-50 for malaysian team... adding the home crowd advantage

Malaysia's chances can be 50%? I don't think so, unless he implied that against each country like Malaysia vs Denmark, Malaysia vs Korea, China, etc. then I would agree.

I'm not sure what Rexy meant. I thought he was saying MAS has a 50-50 chance to lift the Thomas Cup, what did he mean by that? Could it be vs Denmark(50-50), Korea(50-50), Indonesia(50-50) and China(50-50)? I don't know too.

it's simple because its a team event. in team event anything can happen and it has happened before - surprises like upsets and sometimes its chaos!

in individual event let say, if ld meets th, a more reasonable prediction would be 51:49 at the moment but if say, in 2009 the same more reasonable prediction would be 55:45...something like that.

if others have another view, lets share and always bear in mind you must have something to substantiate it..

From tournamentsoftware, beside Chen Long & Du Pengyu, some players also withdrew such as local hope Chetan Anand, Japanese Eriko Hirose and XD pair Shintaro Ikeda/Reiko Shiota.

    Problems galore for Malaysia squad

I owe an apology for using this title in this post to all Malaysian fans here. I read this news in today's newspaper and I wanted to know if these are real news or just some Bollywood type gossips that media rakes up during bigger events.

BTW I have arranged for tickets for myself to watch all pre-quarters match on 15th April. This is my first time when I will be able to see stars I just watched on TV.:)

Hahaha, so it's in the middle. :D
So, the matches should have already started. Good luck to Tee Jing Yi and Florah Ng. :)

If you mean that winning even one title is a problem for the Malaysian squad in Delhi, then the answer is a resounding Yes.

Other than that, the rest of the news is well-known, including the breakup of WMC and LCW, and the fact that WMC has not completely recovered from it.

Problem is, you need heart to do well in tournaments. WMC has lost her way somewhat .... it was surprising that she even managed to win the last Super Series Finals. Her performances in the Super Series this year weren't great.
