How about Malaysia? MS regeneration has no one, after LCW is gone there will be a gap before the next champion comes in! (Pray for Zul)
And as for MD... well... luckily we have more fortune in that :)

    Let's see how Tommy's post-Pelatnas career. Perhaps he'd fare better. :p
As for MD, Bona/Ahsan and Rian/Yoke haven't gone anywhere since God knows when.
PBSI & INA clubs need to send the juniors more and more often. Or else...

Only 2 years left till London, y'know.

The Thai kids, Tanoongsak is good. Tago is still young too (20-21). I also don't see any "next-LD" coming out from china. The wall is nowhere near as formidable as their WS.

I'm never a huge fan of Tommy. He's a decent player, and that's about it.
BC resident INA's expert seems to have high hopes in the new INA MD's pairings, even from their JC days. I say send those boys out to earn more experience and make the most of it. Definitely can't count on Bona/Ahsan or Rian/Yoke for London OG.

I hate to admit it, but at least Chen Long was able to beat Taufik, LCW, LD, and PG before.

Actually, I feel that Chen Long is nothing special. Wang Zhengming, we saw too little of him to count. People like LD and TH had already beat the world and were quite consistent in pulling of shocks here and there since they were young. I have not picked up badminton then, so I might be wrong but I think that is so. Tago and Jan' O is not consistent. Will the next young star shoot up like a rocket, or will he slowly progress to the top?

You really think CL is the next-LD? I view him as a slower version than BCL.
Tanongsak beat TH, Tago beats BCL, CJ as well. I don't think there's much gap between the younger group of MS. They need to start consistently wins against the old guard though.

Yes, yes, you want so much for your fav back up pair to win. It wouldnt be Msia GP Gold me thinks, Macau & Taiwan maybe.

Yeah, so I don't understand what jasonmarc was meaning about losing to lower-ranked pairs. Every pair including JJS/LYD, CY/FHF and MK/HS are all lower-ranked than them :p

Yup, there is nobody in Hayom's generation... only Hayom... INA does have a prospective 17 year old: Riyanto Subagja... our 2009 INA U-19 National Champion... but he still has so much to learn... :p Too early to tell at this time...

By the way, Taufik played like a man posessed today. Simon was just overwhelmed! :p

It's good that Taufik is on the charge. You don't hear the words "a man possessed" and "Taufik" in the same sentence these days :D
