Let's see how Hayom's mentality improved against LCW. LCW will surely give frustration to Hayom. Hope Hayom didn't repeat when he surrendered to LCW at 2nd set even the matches not yet finished.

Well, In the WD dept has also emerged the top 4. If China keeps these 4 pair regularly, I believe very soon they will occupy the top 4 spot in ranking. :)

Zhong Qian Xin still in recovery mode, so most like she may partner back with BYX again, and I believe this is a stronger pairing than Shu Cheng.

I don‘t know why Cheng Shu has been left out of the mix for so long without a partner。 From what i’ve seen of her so far in this tournament, she is a very good player。

She deserves to have a good partner like Bao Yixin or Zhao Yunlei。

    yes and no...

all the semi finalists are the four highest seeded, which are also the four best XD pairs in the world today (in real measures, not just ranking points)... unfortunately two CHN pairs have to meet e.o. in the SF, otherwise the spectators will be guaranteed the most exciting matches in XD discipline!

Bao Yixin is really emerging as the best player in WD。 Her play this tournament is extremely impressive。

She has great speed with aggressiveness and creativity。

Err....that is certainly not true. Owi/Butet won the last 2 matches again Zhang/Zhao in straight-sets. The last time the CHN pair beat Owi/Butet was in Dec 2011.

If I were Zhang Jun, I will certainly field Xu/Ma.

I think Cheng Shu is more of a back court player, simliar to Wang Xiao Li and Du Jing. For XD, generally the man plays the back court because they are more powerful than the woman, thus they need the woman to be strong at the net to cover and create chances for the man. I guess Cheng Shu does not plays the XD because I feel her front court coverage is not strong.
Ma Jin, ZYL, Yu Yang, Bao YX and Tang Jin Hua players from China, they are strong playing at front court.

Dino (Hayom) was so impressive in his match yesterday against DPY, who played an uncharacteristic 3rd game full of errors and hypertension. But Dino finally demonstrated his full range of abilities. If he continues to play like this, I will have no option but to stop calling him "Dino". And maybe rearrange the letters to form.... Odin! :D

But lets not get ahead of ourselves here, cobalt... :( Dino he is, and Dino he will remain until he shows consistently otherwise. He's got a huge opportunity here in the semis, to show his A+ game against a pretty decent and fairly consistent performer Lee something...

Agree, BYX is a special talent, up among the very best in the world as a forecourt player. At her best, she sometimes reminds me of a female version of LYD...

I'm just waiting for the day when she gets paired up with TJH -now that will be one explosive and exciting young combination! :D

Great control by LCW. Hayom was on the run the whole rally and LCW finishes it with a smash. 8-4
