Sudket PRAPAKAMOL / Saralee THOUNGTHONGKAM vs Nathan ROBERTSON / Gail EMMS
This will be a close match, but an edge to the english pair.

Zhongbo XIE / Yawen ZHANG vs Hanbin HE / Yang (F) YU
An all out chinese affair. Hard to say. Odds favor Xie and Zhang

    Lin ZHU vs Lan LU
Lu Lan is playing very well, having just beaten XXF. Still, Zhu Lin gave her a beating on the WC. LL will seek her revenge on this tournament.

Gail EMMS / Donna KELLOGG vs Wei YANG / Jiewen ZHANG
The british ladies had trouble getting into the SF, while the chinese girls just breezed through...

Tingting ZHAO / Yang YU vs Kyung Won LEE / Hyo Jung LEE
Ouh! Tough match. Still KWL will fight like a tiger and give the korean a win.

    Dan LIN vs Kenneth JONASSEN
As much as I love Kenneth and his dangerous counter-attacks, I have trouble seeing him surpass Lin Dan, even with home crowd support.

Chunlai BAO vs Chong Wei LEE
LCW should win this one. We will see another matchup between LD and LCW in the finals, with LCW winning it as he seems to have found LD's weak spot.

    Ning ZHANG vs Chen WANG
That should be interesting. Yet our veteran Zhang Ning should win it.

Markis KIDO / Hendra SETIAWAN vs Kien Keat KOO / Boon Heong TAN
Probably THE match to watch on top priority. It will be very exciting to see those top pair battle it out. Favoring KKK/TBH though, as Kido and Setiawan had a tough QF.

Jens ERIKSEN / Martin LUNDGAARD HANSEN vs Haifeng FU / Yun CAI
This is probably the last danish chance in its home crowd. Those veterans will need to battle it out against the fast HF and YC.

The problem for Markis/Hendra is in their mind, after lossing 4 times before (if I am not mistaken), and yet never won to Koo/Tan. If Markis/Hendra can set up their mind (forget the past losses) they will give a tough fight to Koo/Tan.

Bao will not waste the chance for sure. But the fact is Bao rarely win over Lee. Maybe Lee's playing is not suited to Bao. Just don't hope too much to Lee, as Bao will give his best to revenge.

Kido-Hendra had a tough QF and a tough Round of 16... I think they shall run out of steam against KKK-TBH today...

Krisna, support-lah your Indonesia pair. Or is it another version of reverse psy? KKK/TBH, keep on winning record against Kido-Setiawan!

Of course I will support them, no matter what... I do not wish for them to loose... :D I'm too patriotic...

But I just can't be too optimistic today... I am keeping my own expectation low... :D

It is nothing to do with reverse psy, it's about the reality and the statistic...

    my predictions:

    preview:

    Zhang Ning vs. Wang Chen
Wang Chen has been in punishing form throughout this tournament, finishing all her matches in 2 sets and under 40 minutes. In stark contrast, all Zhang's matches have been three setters, even when faced with weaker opponents. Although if both players were in top form, Zhang would certainly win this match, as her status as badminton queen is undeniable, but Zhang's injury, together with Wang's performance, encourages me to predict that Wang will win this match by 2 relatively tight sets. Zhang should think of retiring from badminton already, as I suspect her age is giving her all sorts of injuries.

Bao Chunlai vs. Lee Chong Wei
Both players have been in superb form in this tournament, and I expect a stunning display of badminton. Bao beat Taufik and Chen Jin, the two finalist in the last two rounds, while Lee beat Sony Dwi Kuncoro easily in two sets yesterday. Bao will be out to avenge his defeat by Lee in the finals of the Indonesian Open Badminton Championships, but Lee is not one to forget his crushing exit in the hands of Bao in the 2006 edition of the Badminton World Championships. Overall, I think Lee will take this game in 3 sets.

LCW will beat Bao provided he utilize his speed well.
On the other hand, if Bao manage to beat LCW, TH, CJ in a row, he will hv my respect.
