Just because there are only 4 courts in the venue so they feared the first round day (Wednesday) would have been really long, finishing at 12pm or so.... But no, the XD final will also be played on Sunday I think !

Exactly, just anticipation from the organizer. From R/16 onwards all 5 categories will be played in same day.

Yay... Good results for Ina xd team, all of them advanced !!

Most shockingly the easy win Rijal/Debby over Tao/Tang...

I remember Tao Jiaming once is quite exquisite xd player, what happened to him

On other hand after Rijal/Debby won their 1st title their confidence is climbing exponentially :p

    Kido/Pia v Sudket/Saralee (50-50)
    Towi/Lily v Kolding/Juhl (53-47) where's Thomas Laybourn btw ?? Is he retired ??
    Fran/Shendy v Songphon/Kunchala (50-50)

    Good luck

Having seen a bit of the match, I can't help but feel sorry for TBH. Always being partnered with lazy, out-of-shape players who try to play everything fancy and make lots of errors....can't be fun :S

Also, did anyone see the Rasmussen/xxx vs Tao JM/Tang JH XD match? Unbelievable. And to think that the Korean Open judges were accused of favoritism....in the deciding game, Tao gets a completely undeserved receiver fault, while Rasmussen serves with the biggest double motion I've ever seen (at 20-18, I believe). Service judge must've been fast asleep - or dreaming of days long gone where Rasmussen was actually good.
Having said that, you can see why the Chinese didn't make the next round - TJM moving very slow for a world class player. I think your days as a Chinese national team member are counted when you start to fall behind Rasmussen in speed :D

I saw a little bit of that. I was very impressed with Maria Helsbol. Seems very aggressive and strong.
That's sad if, as you say, the game was decided on some dicey serves. Cheers.
