If this is true, then, don't understand why he put a strategy like this. Win a non-sense 2* tourny, but got trashed out in 1st round of a pricy 5* event.

    Re: A few "important" results...

Isn't that the typical Xia's game? Always seems hard fight for long matches, regardless who's the opponent.

Hmmm... maybe he's still need a little bit time to recover from injuries?

    Lee Hyung Ill lost

Well, I don't think he planned to loose early here. He probably expected to be able to play both tournaments. Some players take one tournament as the best preparation for the next, and can keep playing good badminton (like Kim Dong Moon).

Others don't. Or perhaps it was the form of the day, bad night sleep, who knows. Maybe the reports on worldbadminton.net will reveal something.

Thomas Laybourn & Kamilla Juhl finally lost to the Thaïs15-17 15-6 15-11...

This is a quite good result in fact considering Prapakamol & Thungthongkam reached the semis in Japan and Korean Open, plus quarters in Indonesia Open!!

great job guys... nice live updates. please don't write in such thrilling style. ;) third set news for WCH was quite good... Gopichand's news was shocking... after seeing all his form, I'm not sure if he's completely recovered from his carreer-threatening injury.. :(

actually, there is one noticeable result in WS in fact : Kanako Yonekura finished by beating Yao Jie after having lost against her twice in a row (Malaysian and Dutch Open)

Pi Hongyan and Miho Tanaka are in the third set, 3-3...

This is surely no good. Bao should go deeper in this 5* event, and get as many point as possible for a spot in Olympic game.

What happened? From the final score, seems not like his "usual problem" (take big lead, then blow it) this time?

Cheng Rui and Zhang Yawen lost, too.

However, Bao is certainly the major loss for CHN as for now. Seems the MS is very intensive now. I can see at least 10-15 ppl has good chance to get the final crown.
