    Hmm...we can always hope.

Pia Zebadiah is officially a Pelatnas player now...and she's currently the most talented of the singles players we have.

Nitya Krishinda/Nadya Melati.....we have already seen them playing since end of last year...and they are already in the top 40-50 ranking. With more tournament participation, they will be definitely in the top 20 in a year or two.

Purwati/Meiliana Jauhari...heard they are out of Pelatnas? If not...I think they are another potential...reached semi-finals of all 3 Satellite tournaments recently...and also in the top 40-50.

With more exposure and playing hrs, Indonesia's women team could perhaps finally wake up from their long slumber.

    well...
i think we can start see them (indo girl) play on tournament next mounth
will be interesting, because it is all messed up, i mean this uber cup, japan and korea didn't make it into semis, germany and netherland trough top 4, it was all unexpacted.

so... ow and next final round will be held in jakarta, so as the host, they will directly play in final round... that's good news...

so well... let's hope that they can get up and stand up :)
    bravo indonesia

BTW, I notice the format of the match between CHINESE TAIPEI VS. NED is SSSDD while the match between CHN VS GER is SSDSD, why is it different ? Is it decided by both teams ?

Because the Dutch single players also play double, but I think it is unfair to the Chinese Taipei team.

hehehe..well, there wasn't any to watch anyways, only short clips of actions, and all i've heard were just heard the commentators yapping away...:p besides, the connection was very poor(at least on my end)...:p

    hehe, yup, must be...:p
i was probably thinking NED backwards = DEN...hehe:p
well, here's *hoping* for a "better" showing by the Holland team tomorrow against China, albeit they might not have much legs left...i'll be surprise if they can get 1 pt from China...:p
On that note, I think i would have to give the Best Condition Team award to the Netherland team, Yao Jie must be quite proud of her teammates watching back home(basically playing the same 4-5 players avg, at most 6 players, for each round).. :p :)

So you are saying if Bao Chun Lai also plays doubles, then China will plays SSSDD as well ? I do agree its unfair to the Chinese Taipei team as their strength is the doubles.

    Its fair.

    Lets review the match order.

    Singles 1.

Then if we play double 1, it will not fair cause Mia just play S1. So we had to play S2.

After S2, you can not play Doubles 1 cause Judith and Chien Yu Chin just finished S2.

So either you play S3 or Doubles 2. The result will be the same, cause Taiwan doubles 2 are not very strong. Netherland will win this match too.

Taiwan is bankin one or maybe two points from S2 and also S3.

Thats why they were playing a fresh player Pai Min Jie in S3 cause they hope she can made Karina tired. But it didn't happen. Taiwan better play the experienced Huang Chia Shin.

That not gonna happen if PBSI still so mean with their money by only sending the girls to ASEAN event. A very few international events.

The girls didn't participated in All England this year and even not in Asian Badminton championship where all Asian countries send their women players.

Not only the girls, PBSI also only send Taufik, Sonnyand sometimes Simon in MS. Have you ever heard of Markus Wijanu before the Thomas Cup begin?

its unfair if only 1 team make a player play in 2 events just to change the schedule of play to suit them better. Obviously if you have less than 7 players in your squad, some will need to play twice.

I think both TPE and NED had players who played twice, so in this case it should be "fair"

Ie if china play BCL as MD2 and get the schedule to be S1 S2 S3 D1 D2 then if they win the 2 singles, there will be bigger pressure (2-0) on the opposition had they played S1 D1 S2 and say had a score of 2-1 (2 singles wins and 1 doubles win).
