Looks like no barrier for Zhang/Gao. As Raphael said in his column, that qfinal tie was virtually the final.

As for the MS, the tension will go right to the end, unless two Chinese contest the final.

Don't undermine Malaysia's Taiwan Open Champion, Koo/Wong, they may spring surprises again!

Not in the same league as the top pairs. Not until Koo gains more experience and Malaysian women get better overall. Not that I am not satisfied now. I think Malaysian women have come a long way but it would be a shame to stop at this point. Let's see how they fare against the Thai pair today. Can they beat 2 good established doubles players?

Results for this tournament are slow to come by, so please be patient.

When someone gets the result, rest assured he/she will post. You don't have to keep asking.

    http://www.kompas.com/olahraga/news/0412/17/155811.htm

Salakjit Ponsana bt Francesca (the one who ousted Pi) 8-11, 11-3, 11-2
    Zhang/Gao bt Widianto/Natsir 7-15, 15-9, 17-15
    Blair/Munt bt Anggun/Tetty 15-12, 13-15, 15-12

They only reported the Indonesian matches. So ends Indonesia's challenge in the WS and XD events. Probably WD as well at the end of the day.

    Wanna see Taufik wins

The older guy has no reason to lose this time :)
Playing in front of crazy home crowd he he he he

Peeking at IBF"s record, Lin Dan beat Taufik at ASian Championship......

Well, pretty hard to predict actually but I think Lin Dan is still Super Dan....perhaps the boy will win....

Another younger fellow Bao Chunlai beat Taufik at China Open recently, remember?

This goes to show again that Malaysian players are still second best, no drive or push to win. 3 out of 3 is really bad.

It is now up to MD and XD now, but probably no need to hold out on that as well.

Taufik vs Lin Dan in front of the indonesian crowd, this should be a GREAT match!! :D

The other semi-final will probably be arranged in favour of Bao Chunlai though, as he has a much better head-to-head record against Taufik than Chen Hong (4-2 vs 0-5!!).
