Yup, this thread can be closed.

Tago will be a great player.

Oh yes of course i didnt thought of him as a bad guy. Not at all.
It was all purely discussions, my opinions, his personal views kind of thing. Nothing personal and i believe he thought the same way too arent you Mr. Cooler?;)
On a side note i wish i can be a friend of his also since i dont have many friends in bc too.

    My impression on the match.
LCW - A bundle of nerves, especially when his biggest weapon was neutralised by KT's determined defence. In the second game, he played a more patient game, and when he attacked, it was usually (1) a sudden explosive attack like LD and (2) to the body of KT which got him some points. Got lucky at the last crucial point, the line-judging uncharacteriscally lax. In the end, his experience made that little bit of difference.
KT - Should not have let LCW back in while leading 13-7 in the first game. Too many of the silliest mistakes in returning serves to the net (only serving out is sillier, IMHO). Steadier in the second game, but LCW stepped up the pace. Managed to claw back by frustrating his opponent into making mistakes. In the end, got sucker-punched by the linejudge, but overall, the runner-up position is probably deserved.

Well done LCW. He deserved it from a long time. But so nice to see unknown Tago battling like a tiger. Will enjoy to see him in future

I don't mind at all...I poke fun all the time even at work and more at play even though I am way older than all of you. Jokes and humour makes you young at heart (otherwise you be a grumpy old fart), relieves stress an maybe live longer and happier;) I believe if you can dish jokes out, you gotta take them back. BTW, good for MAS to nail a major and LCW to nail his first major. I was hoping for a LD-LCW final, cos' if LCW wins, then there may be a breakthrough. Still a major 100th AE crown.
I am not that emotional as you all on LCW, as I don't hero worship and fanatic of anyone...I have posted way before that the players of concern are the Sairuls, Yeohs, KBH, etc who invest so much time chasing a dream, to entertain us and to glorify their nation, in the end, may have nothing much to fall back on. It takes guts and conviction to play pro baddy, where the rewards are fleeting, a career uncertain and only a very small core of players like LCW, LD, TH capitalize on;).

On the other hand, we can also predict that once he gets back to Malaysia, he will have lots of invitations to dinners and political events. These will disrupt his training and send him to the slippery slope of distraction and poor performance in future tournaments.

If this really happens, BWF should switch these two series. SO first then AE.

I am quite sure this will happen with other Msia Player but not Datuklee...

Datuklee is famous for his Hardworking attitude and further more he has always attend dinner & etc after he won silver in OG2008 but he always make sure it wont affect his performances on court.

    refer to above in italic/bold:
yes, kt has not reached the level of the top 10 players in the world, maybe he could beat most of them here but then again he could still loose to the lower rank player - consistency and playing experience with top players are still not there.
but as he continue playing he will improve and the next tournament will test his mental strength. his play has been recorded and a lot by the china team and one can imagine what they are going to do..:)

    It wil happen to everyone..
Happened to TH before..( some anti TH critised him for parties,,etc),now LD..( which he attended way many functions..drinking and parties..I do not see anyone comments about that...)..
It will happen to LCW...could be worse than LD/TH...this is just AE, not WC or Olympic title yet..
I hope MAS or BAM treats this title not way too seriously...this is not first time that MAS got AE anyway..
For now..everyone will go after LCW, not LD for a moment...
Like Federer..when you are top..you have to train harder..

You did not mention LD...I guess LD will play SO to get back to game sharp for TC and more importantly, WC and AG. TC is as good as already in CHN's bag whether LD lose or win.:D

Like mentor use to tell me, "A new level of achievement, a whole new level of challenge"

There is still quite a journey for LCW. WC and OG is still something that MAS has longed to win.
